  • I'm FINALLY comfortable in my body in that sit-down-in-a-bikini-without-folding-my-arms way! It's the only way I can think to describe it and I've only felt this way a couple times in my entire life. I don't feel self-conscious no matter what I'm doing or wearing or how I'm positioned. It's the best feeling! I really have…
  • Most useful tip for me is prep! If I have prepped lunches in the fridge and convenient snacks and breakfast on hand, I'm going to eat them. I also have dinner calendar written out and ingredients on hand to make 30 minute meals daily. If I'm not prepared, I lose my mind and eat whatever I want in whatever quantity. If it's…
  • Fasting, skipping breakfast, eating low calorie- it's all the same. Calorie deficit is why it works. I actually do "IF" most days because I prefer to workout on an empty stomach (otherwise I feel pukey during a hard workout). Workout 830-930, get home around 10am... Also have small kids so dinner at 530 and done by 6. So…
  • Half a sweet potato or add a baked potato side are great ways to get low sugar carbs. Beans are also good. Add 1/4c beans to your dish (taco meat, soup, dump on a salad) to increase carbs. Also load up on stuff like roasted cauliflower and broccoli. You can have bigger servings of roasted veggies than you'd think to fill…
  • Great thread! Thing I learned recently- when I workout, I need to drink my protein shake. If I skip it to "save calories" I will eat horribly later because I'll end up starving. Getting out of the starvation mindset where eating nothing is the best thing to do has helped me lately. If I stay satiated, I don't binge junk!
  • Fooof basically anything from a restaurant! Indian food, my favorite veg burger and onion rings, nachos of any kind from anywhere, 2 margaritas…
  • I think living in Colorado instead of Louisiana has had a big impact on my fitness! It's the culture here to hike and ski and spend time outside all the time. The weather here is never too debilitating- never too hot, never too much rain, snow has it's own activities...
  • Pandemic ending. All that "apocalypse cake" I was eating every day made me too big for any of my real pants and it turns out it wasn't the apocalypse and I'm going to need to go back to wearing pants...
  • A family size bag of spicier nacho Doritos and a pint of fudge brownie B&J
  • I’ve lifted while pregnant through both pregnancies and the rule of thumb my midwife had me follow was limit it to whatever you were doing before pregnancy. So even though I only started snatching for a few months before pregnancy I could do 65# so I just used 65# or less through pregnancy. When my body ached or was…
  • I only like/ have the Italian dressing, but it’s a helpful tool when I’m trying to make dinner low calorie at the end of the day and want my side salad to be 10cals instead of 150. IMO Italian is easy to replicate with just vinegar, herbs, veg, and filler so I’m fine with it and think it tastes indistinguishable from…
  • ISO active friends!!
  • I don't even know how long I've been vegetarian- on and off since I was 13 sooo 20 years lol. Vegan never works out long-term for me and the last time I fell off the wagon into meat-eating I developed gout. Vegetarian for life for medical reasons, prefer it for ethical and health anyway. Active and looking for veg friends!
  • Hi welcome!! I'm just getting back to CF after some time off with baby during ya know last year. Always looking for new, active friends!
  • Definitely workout daily and eat back those exercise calories! A 30-45min run should get you up to 1500 at least. I've also found it's easier when I just drink black coffee for breakfast and then have a "normal" lunch/dinner. Basically intermittent fasting, but just for the sake of getting to choose more normal items…
  • Great work!! Congratulations!
  • I get what the OP is saying. I've seen a lot of threads refer to a healthy BMI range as unrealistic. I've also see a ton of people put quotes around the words overweight and obese as though they were part of the marginal body builder exception, when in reality they're overweight or obese. As a woman who is 5'6" the ideal…
  • I'd say it depends on how you feel. I'm 5'6" and my favorite weight is 135-140lbs which is in the healthy range. I look great, wear a size 6, feel happy in a bikini at that size, and don't fret over how my belly folds when I sit down. To me that's it- feeling truly happy and completely comfortable sitting, laying down,…

  • I was buying us matching Christmas PJs and they were sold out of women's size L. Do I make the family choose a different pattern because they have everyone else's size but mine? Ordered a M. I fit into a M the year before last and would likely fit into a M if there were no COVID/ quarantine/ WFH... It's time get back into…
  • This is so inspiring! I'm definitely going for a walk today now!

  • Just came to drop in and say I gave birth to my son 2/2 at 39+1 with a total gain of 12lbs on the day of. Even so nursing has been going well and I have a bit of extra fluff PP which is great since I want to be a milky mama! Heading over to the PP boards. Thanks for all of the support ladies and luck to everyone on their…

  • The midwives are just going off fundal height at this point. My first son always measured a week ahead and was born at 8.5lbs. They said second babies are usually a bit bigger than firsts, but because it went so smoothly it's likely a good thing- I just grow them big, but that's the right size for me. They're just using…
  • LOL So the moral of this thread is that no one reads anymore. It's been 8 years and no one has stepped forward to say they've actually read the China study in it's entirety. Guess the world will never know!

  • The more squats you do the less your legs will burn on the hill. I recommend at least a hundred squats per day- for real, you'll be more in control of your board and feel better at the end of that first day.
