  • Currently 143 ibs, and eagerly waiting for my body to decide it wants to lose weight again rather than retain water, lol. First world problems as they say. My goal weight is going to probably be anywhere from 120 to 130 ibs when I'm done, depending on what see in the mirror in a couple of months time.
  • I think a combination of makeup, losing almost 50 ibs and stepping up on my skin/ hair routine have done wonders for my appearance. I say that as whilst trying to buy wine (not for me! for my father...honest!) today I got ID'ed. The lady was surprised when she saw my actual age and seemed to think I was 17 or something.…
  • Nope - thank you I'll take your word for it. I can honestly say I have no interest in Slimfast or their products. Whilst I appreciate it works for people, it's not something I'd consider trying. You're right; these conditions are rare, but just because they are rare doesn't mean they don't exist. After three pregnancies my…
  • Maybe the OP genuinely gained weight as her body had a bad reaction to CERTAIN types of food. We can't know that, and we don't have enough information about her current circumstances to make sweeping assumptions. If she can tolerate Slimfast whilst having severe in-tolerances then she can tolerate it. Without being experts…
  • So far I've been losing a stone every two months, but realistically I'm expecting the loses to slow down a bit now.
  • Genuine question here - how does diet tea work? Isn't tea by default calorie free?
  • I just woke up one morning and thought "that's it, I've had it. I'm not stopping until I feel I'm done." Never dieting before. Never been as big as I was at the start of the year before (and never will be again if I have any say in it). I don't actually find the weight loss process that difficult or depriving as I found…
  • With my method of losing weight, it's not accurate at all lol. It's still interesting however.
  • Counting calories? Heck no. Fasting is a different matter however, and should keep me in check.
  • CW: 143 GW: 120 Finally that annoying part of the month is over and I start losing again! I'm curious if I'll hit 140 ibs by the end of the month (still losing around 7-8 ibs a month as I fast, but I'm expecting this to slow down a bit now my deficit is smaller). Well - River Island had a sale. I have a weakness for flared…
  • First of all, great job. So far I've lost 48 ibs, and have somewhere between 14-28 ibs to go.
  • I believed that green tea would help me lose weight faster too. I still drink it, however. There's various health benefits from doing so, and green tea means I'm no longer drinking 6-7 cups of coffee a day.
  • I take a multivitamin and an omega 3 every other day when I fast, just to be on the safe side.
  • Personally I adore fasting. It's helped me understand my cues for hunger/ thirst, aided me in losing weight and enabled me to feel so much better than I did this time a year ago. Not for everyone, sure, but you could say the same about anything.
  • First off - Gary Numan <3 Second off - congratulations
  • CW: 144 It's that part of the month >.>. A week or so after that ToTM I seem to gain ib and don't get any sort of additional weight loss until a week or so later when I drop a couple of ibs overnight (ovulation I guess? sorry TMI maybe). Sooo irritating but what can you do? I'm not too upset as I can feel the difference in…
  • I never really know how to respond to people like that :p. Usually I never get past "oh, I could never do that!" as I just smile brightly like "oh, that's nice!" and it seems to throw people off lol.
  • If it works for you, then wonderful. I'm happy you've found a method to keep the weight off. As for me, I'll keep doing my thing ^^.
  • http://muscleevo.net/intermittent-fasting-muscle-loss/ In particular; (Dr. Krista Varady's) conclusion reads as follows: (I'm aware it's an old article, but I can't find the one I was looking for and it's almost midnight) “From the studies reviewed here, it would appear as though a lower proportion of lean mass is lost in…
  • The last time I checked there are plenty of people on the site who are both close to their goal weight and losing around 2 ibs a week. That would be 16 rather than 20 ibs in 2 months, but perfectly doable and safe if you exercise and/ or find a way of maintaining a 7k/ wk calorie deficit. It also depends a lot on the…
  • You have really pretty eyes :). Well done and you look great.
  • I think a realistic goal for me would be 130 ibs by Xmas, and that would be great. Lol, yeah, I'd also love to be done losing weight by the end of the year but I have a sneaking suspicion i'll want to get to 120 ibs (which will take a bit longer >.>). Oh well, more insulation for winter!^^
  • I started off this year at somewhere around 191 ibs (I only dared weigh myself in February). It took me a while to find something that worked, but I weighed in yesterday at 144 ibs and am well within a "normal" BMI again. It takes time, but the alternate is even less appealing. Even if it might be hard to hear now - a lot…
  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfW8deSlsiA an oldie but a goodie from Jenna Marbles springs to mind on reading this thread. Not all women are like that obviously, but dealing with those who are is pretty tedious. Anyway, congrats on your loss.
  • Hm, why not :pensive: 31 (32 next week) HW: 191 CW: 147 GW: 120
  • It sounds pretty dreadful to me. If it works for anyone, great I'm happy for you but I'll stick to what I'm doing ^^.
  • Reporting in... SW: 153 (06/09) CW: 147 (05/10) GW: 135 (01/01) Feeling bloated as its coming up for that time of the month >.>
