  • Thanks so much for the replies! I believe I will be getting a scale and being more accurate in my logging. I will also only eat up to 50% of my lost calories from exercise. I'm feeling positive about this change!
  • This is great advice. You know you'll eat more on holidays, so be okay with that, and plan ahead. Exercise and eating at maintenance are the way to go! You can do it!
  • Hi, everyone! It's great to learn more about you! I look forward to supporting you in your goals, and I hope you will do the same for me! I'm a 30 year old SAHM in Utah, USA with 3 kids, a 4yo boy, 2 1/2 yo boy and an 11mo girl. All little cuties, all morning kids (6:15 regular wakers), and full of energy all day. I had…
  • YES. I've had 3 kids in 4 years, which didn't leave a lot of time for strength training. =) I'm just finally able to sit up from a laying down position without rolling to one side. Yay for abs! Good job, jennifermo16! My goals include feeling so fit that I can run and play with my kids without thinking whether I can do it…
  • First, remember that this is only a stage. Kids will change, and eventually you'll get some sleep. For a while =), until the next stage begins. Remember to take a shower. And be creative with exercise--it doesn't have to be while baby is asleep, or when kids are away from the home. Some of my [better] workouts have been…
  • My favorite thing to do is to have a veggie tray in the fridge, always. Put easy veggies in that don't require a lot of chopping, like baby carrots, sugar snap peas, peeled & sliced cucumbers, etc. Make a homemade veggie dip to dip them in when you really don't want veggies. But, at times when I just want to eat A LOT,…
  • Hi There! Good for you for working so hard! It is so motivating to have a spouse who wants to lose weight, but as I also know, with a husband with chronic back problems, it can be easy to slack off if both of you had a hard day. Good luck with your progress! I'm a mother of 3 toddlers and I started at 200 pounds, now I'm…
  • Good for you for trying again! That's where I am. And I find, with every child (I have 3 under the age of 4) or change in life (which seems to happen all too frequently), it takes another recommitment. You can do it! How are you doing with your goals, 4 months after you posted this?
  • Yes, amazing how their schedules become your own, whether you like it or not. I have three under the age of 4, with an 11 mo old now, and it took until they turned about 9 months before I felt like I could start things about my schedule again and my habits. May I add you as a friend? We mothers of babies need to stick…
  • Hi, there! I'm a mom of 2 toddlers and a 10 month old...who is now toddling, so I guess I could say 3 toddlers. Yikes! I'm working on losing 25 pounds for now and would love to add you as a friend. My diet isn't the best...but it definitely isn't the worst. You're welcome to see it. Good luck with your couch to 5k! I'm…
