Here is a little comparison. I've let myself go in the picture on the right due to an injury but now I'm back on it.

I was eating approx 1500cals per day in the first month but in month 2 you need to increase it otherwise the progress wont be as good. Just remember these are demanding exercises so you need to fuel your body and try to go for protein for recover and carbs for energy. Have those as your focus and youll do fine

This is my first time doing insanity and it is truly insane but i love it. Half way through week 6 and i agree with Dali, you need the calories otherwise you simply wont get through especially in month 2. The changes you see will be big but i suggest you hide the scales, they are not your friend. Ive levelled off in weight…

Logging in your food intake on MFP is going to help massively as the most important thing is nutrition. If your working out from home and have access to an iPad, iPhone, laptop (pretty much any smart device) then I would suggest giving Fitstar a go. It's brilliant for workouts and adjusts each workout on your feedback.…

Some brilliant advice there thank you. I've lost a total of 52lbs since March and I'm only 10lbs-ish from a healthy weight so I though I should begin to strength train. I've been doing body weight exercises for a month prior to joining the gym. The routines I'm doing I believe are compound exercises so in effect although…

Amazing effort. Absolute brilliant

Thank you everybody for the great advice. I've done a lot of research on the net today and I've found a good program that I can tailor around work and other commitments. Can't wait to get started working towards my new goal. : )

Great work. Keep it up, looking good!!

Anybody have any views on this? Thank you

I'd only be going to use the equipment. Don't get me wrong, I'd probably go to the occasional class but they are all incorporated into the price of the monthly fee anyway. The price is fair and I can fit in about 3 or 4 sessions a week. I live in England so we don't have health insurance as we have a free NHS service, but…

Thank you for the information hopefully somebody can help shed more light on the subject. I'll stick with this until I get more information. Thanks again for the help.

It's a really good app to be honest. There are programs they set you on as well as freestyle sessions. You give feedback after each exercise (I.e. After push-ups or burpees) and it uses it to make the next session. I suppose I should keep with this then but seeing feedback from the discussions on here I haven't seen…

Fitstar is app for the iPad where you do exercises using your bodyweight as apposed to using weights. My overall goal is to lose some more weight and increase my muscle mass so I do have them being more visible. I'm not looking to bulk up just look more toned. At the moment the exercises I do are a conbination of cardio…

Hi again, This is a picture of my progress so far. The before picture was how I looked in March this year.

Thank you. I've never been a frame of reference before. First time for anything.haha

I was initially 252lbs. My initial calorie limit was 1900 as I didn't want to set myself up for a fail if it was too low for me. I kept that up for 6 months. I found I lost 14lbs in the first 4 weeks, then another 14lbs after a further 2 months and then another 14lbs after a further 3 months. In the last month or so I…
