  • Mine's not working either. It shows my steps in reports so SOME of the data is getting to MFP, but I'm not seeing calories burned. I've disconnected, logged off, logged back in and reconnected several times without success. Frustrating. BTW, just checked. Mine stopped working sometime during the day on 9/16.
  • I've been on maintenance for nearly a year, and it's been a total struggle. I weigh and track nearly every day, and pay attention EVERY day. I'm JUST starting to get the hang of balancing life with food and exercise....but I don't trust myself to not "relapse"...so I weigh, measure and track as much as is possible.
  • I'd grill chicken or a tuna steak, roast acorn squash, steam green beans and have tons of calories left for a snack later.
  • Yup, 40D to 36C, 80 lbs later.
  • Congratulations!!
  • So more puppy news! Mommy Jen went to the vet Friday morning. She was removed from the Cipro, which was the medication that was a problem for nursing babies, and was allowed to return to nursing Saturday late afternoon!! She still had SOME milk, so we supplemented the smaller puppies Saturday evening, and then fought the…
  • There was a recent thread on this topic. Here's a link: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10435398/weight-watchers-vs-counting-calories/p1
  • Why not go back to doing exactly what you were doing when you lost the first 11 lbs?
  • Yes, she's a 1st time mom. She's feeling better, but we have vet appt. on Friday to see if the antibiotics are curing the infection or just keeping it at bay. We may still have to spay her, but at least she's not so darned sick going into that. My vet felt that she just had too many darned puppies for her size! Her sister…
  • Jemhh, it's a whelping nest...but it DOES look like a frying pan :-) It's heated and helps keep the pups warm, until they maintain their own body temp at around a month old, without baking the mommy dog. We used heat lamps in the past since the pups need to be kept at around 90 degrees, but it really stressed the Mommy.
  • cmriverside, WW goes by the BMI calculator. I'm 5'6" so my goal weight had to be 155 or less, and if I go over 157 I have to pay per week until I'm back at 155 or less (they set the lower limited at 124 I believe). I got down to 149, which left me a nice margin, and then they changed the plan and everything went to he!!.…
  • jemhh....thank you. My husband has suspected this is what was going on, but I couldn't find anything to back it up, and a whole lot of "eat at a deficit and you'll lose, and there's no such thing as starvation mode" posts to go along with that. I swore that when Weight Watchers changed their program and kept upping my "fit…
  • According to MFP I'm still eating at a deficit, it's just not such a steep deficit. An example. Yesterday between Fitbit & MFP, it said I earned 586 exercise calories. I got in 12000+ steps yesterday which included a 3 mile hike at lunch. I didn't eat back any of those calories, but I did eat 1300 of my 1420 daily…
  • And the plot thickens! This morning the scale read 152.2...that's down another 0.8 lbs. Not complaining at all. I ate all the right things yesterday. Tonight is WW monthly weigh in, so they'll let me stay another month for free :-) The puppies...they're AKC registered Brittanys. They've been my passion for 15+ years. We…
  • It was after Christmas (12/28) and I was going to turn 50 in April and I was obese (232 lbs) and still gaining. I told my husband, who I work with, that I was joining Weight Watchers, and I wasn't going out for lunch with him anymore. He was welcome to continue going out, or I'd be happy to pack his lunch while I pack my…
  • I usually eat between 1250-1400 a day. A typical day for me is: single serving container of 2% cottage cheese & 1 cup of fruit Special K protein bar for a snack Lunch = tossed salad. A BIG, romaine lettuce, baby spinach, a tomato, carrots, pepper, cucumber, dried cranberries (tbps) & apricots (2) with 5 oz. of lean…
  • I lost 80 lbs and got to a healthy weight in 10 months with diet and cardio on an elliptical and stationary bike. I've started resistance training since getting to goal, but still use the elliptical or stationary bike 4-5 days a week.
  • I'm bringing a taco salad for lunch tomorrow. I make a lot of regular green salads and top with grilled chicken, wraps with chicken with buffalo sauce, light ranch, lettuce, tomato, onion, or cold cuts on a wrap. When we make turkey burgers, I try to make several extra and freeze individually so I can grab one and some…
  • I've been on maintenance for 10 months now (after losing 80 lbs. last year) and I struggle almost every day. I don't trust myself to NOT track or weigh daily. Not sure I ever will.
  • They set my "fit points" at 120 a week! And I couldn't eat any of them! 30 points a day, 27 weeklies, and I couldn't consume any fit points, yet had to do the equivalent of 12k steps a day AND an hour long spin class 5 days a week to meet their goal. Sometimes my 30 points a day was under 1000 calories (with 2 fruits and 5…
  • I'm TERRIFIED of letting my guard down and gaining! I weigh daily, track daily, and go to WW meetings and weigh in once a month for the accountability. I've only been at goal for 10 months now, and it's HARD!!
  • I lost 80 lbs on the Points Plus plan. I joined MFP recently when I just couldn't take the SmartPoints plan anymore. When 150 calories of chicken breast is 2 SmartPoints and a 150 calorie Skinny Cow ice cream cone is 8 Smart Points (and you only get 30 points a day), there's something wrong. They so drastically penalize…
  • One of my "trigger" foods is peanut butter. Every once in a while I buy some because "I got this"....well, I DON'T got this. I can have PB2 in the house and eat that in moderation. I cannot have real peanut butter or the whipped stuff in the house. My husband's trigger food are donuts. He'll eat the entire dozen if they're…
  • Great job! I'm right there with you so I totally understand the "fat girl" thing. I've lost 80 lbs, and am at a healthy weight for the first time in my adult life. I've been on "maintenance" for 10 months now, and I STILL have to take a picture in the mirror and look at the picture to see myself healthy. I keep hoping my…
  • Eggs because I'm not a morning person, I'm not very creative and they seem to be key in getting me to lunch without my stomach growling. I'm going to give all this some thought and over the weekend come up with some new breakfasts for next week. Thanks for all the ideas!
  • How much water are you drinking throughout the day? Sometimes dehydrated feels like hungry.
  • Breakfast 7 a.m.: Light English muffin with PB2 and sugar free jelly, coffee 10 a.m. - cup of fruit with 1/2 cup 2% cottage cheese 12:00 noon - Today I had 3 oz. roast beef on a Tumaro Wrap (60 calories) with lettuce tomato onion & mustard and 1 oz. pretzels 2:00 p.m. - sugar free jello with 2 tbsp fat free cool whip 3:00…
  • I had an elliptical and stationary bike, so in addition to walking, I used one of those 4-5 days a week.
  • High maintenance maybe, but I've found that nothing stays the same. If I'm not actively trying to lose weight or maintain, I'm gaining. I figure putting some extra thought and time into what I eat and how much I eat is worth not being morbidly obese. If I'm spending 3 or 4 hours a week at the gym, I can spend 10 minutes a…
  • Well, just finished week 2 and lost 0.8 lbs. more! So 1420 daily calories and eating back a few of my exercise calories seems to be the right formula so far. Pretty thrilled to see the scale trend significantly downward for 2 weeks straight. It's been a while since I've seen that. This week MAY be a challenge. I have a…
