Bye As you approach your optimum weight your loss will slow down. It will take much longer to loose but it will happen. If you reduce your calories too much you will actually cause your body to slow down calorie burn. I wouldn't got below 1200 and maybe slowly increase to 1250 or 1300 and watch what happens. I have been working with weights for about a month. Mostly working on upper body. I use cable weight system at home. Legs are pretty strong from cycling and squats. My BMR Is 1500. I shoot for around 2000 calories per day.

What are your current calories intake? How much do you exercise? You could actually be eating too little. It's hard to help without more facts. Make your diary public so I can see what your eating. Most of all, don't give up. I've lost 90 pounds and hit many plateaus along the way. It will come. It's worth the wait!

I've heard and read all the diet soda hype. I drink diet sodas all day long. I've lost 85 pounds in the last 6 months. If I had been drinking full calorie sodas all that time I would not have made it to where I am.

List 85 pounds with elliptical machine and weights, with calorie counting all at home. Moving slowly int maintenance now.

I'm struggling with this same dilemma right now. I am slowly increasing my calories from 1200 during weight loss, to eventually 1850 for maintenance. Trying to add just small increments around 100 calories at a time. It's been rocky. It's pretty scarey when the scales begin to swing upward!

I have started drinking cashew milk. I like it better than dairy milk. I get the unsweetened and put stevia in it. 25 calories per cup!

If your eating at a deficit you will not gain much muscle. However if your weight lifting you shouldn't loose much muscle. You just can't have it both ways. To gain muscle requires more calories intake. To loose fat takes less calorie intake.

I was also dismayed by the calories in olive oil. All cooking oils are high. Sometimes I use chicken broth in place of cooking oil. I also started using the cooking sprays. You can get it in olive oil, butter and others. The spray allows you to coat your food with less oil. J.

Nothing at all wrong with carbs in moderation. I sometimes eat oatmeal several times a day. This causes my carbs to be a bit out of balance. Why do I eat so much oatmeal? It's good, it's filling, and it's quick.

I am still working on loosing 10 more pounds after loosing 75. My success has been from the epiphany that you just need to consume less calories than you burn. Figure your BMI, then set your calorie goal right around that. Good luck! You can do it if you want it bad enough! J
