  • I love NSV day, Craig! My two NSVs are that (1) I have tracked everything every single day this month thanks to this group and (2) I have continued to participate in this group...I love how well and actively it is led, and how engaged the members are.

  • Hello! I was looking for a group to help me with motivation, and this one may well be it. I’ve been floundering for most of this year trying to lose 15 to 18 lbs and I really want to stop floundering and start succeeding. I’m excited to get started in a few days.
  • Great idea, Erin! I think the community aspect of MFP is a big key to success...accountability, support and celebration. I love watching all the successes that people here are having. Halfway through the year, I'm not quite done with my weight loss, but I'm doing really well with being in control of what I eat and, for me,…

  • I'm happy because I just calculated my BMI and I'm finally back in the "normal" range. And I looked at my weekly weight loss since the beginning of the year. Even though there have been daily ups and downs, every single week has shown a 1 lb + weight loss average. A pound a week is healthy, if not exciting, and as you say,…
  • You're all doing so well! I lost 6 lbs in January. I'm happy with this because I stopped and reversed a 4 month/20 lb upward trajectory. I'm going to try to lose 10 in February and keep exercising.
  • Just walking for me today, 13,000 steps so far. 4,000 to go. Tomorrow I go to the gym to work out with weights.
  • That whole discussion was very motivating...thanks!

  • ErinKay...Though I have one now, you really don't need a fitness tracker (in my opinion). A simple pedometre that I wore at my waist changed my life. I have a fitbit now, but I actually preferred the simplicity of the pedometer. I got mine from Weight Watchers. I found step counting incredibly motivating and walking 15,000…
  • Wow Steve...avoiding all the bad food at your game is huge. Congratulations!!! I really appreciate this group too. Thanks for starting it!
  • Sutibo...I totally agree it's about informed choices (the power of journalling our food is that it lets us make them) and also think it's about enjoying our lives. If pizza is enjoyable and fits in your day, it sounds like a great choice to me, and reason to continue on with pride!
  • I like "only say the positives"...I'm going to give that a go. I know I'll break it once in a while, but what a great goal!
