The 40+ club is where the cool kids are...

You may not have the energy to lift on a 1000 calorie diet...

How long before "eventually" kicks in? Also, the OP never said anything about pairing them with a veggie side. My comment was about eating just tv dinners for dinner every night. I'd challenge anyone to not get sick of those after a month...despite whatever variety exists.
-
I imagine it would be efficient...in the short term. But you'll get super tired of eating those...and pretty soon they will all taste the same. It would be difficult for the average person to eat a tv dinner every night for a month before quitting. Good luck though!

Thanks for answering the question and not dismissing it out of hand...

She's 100 pounds overweight and has tried everything and nothing has worked for the past six months and is seeking advice, is it really so wrong to suggest that maybe she cut back on sugar? Really? Maybe you don't believe it and maybe it won't work for everyone, but it's worked for many people I know personally. And maybe…

Yes or no...do you think insulin affects weight loss?
-
It's shameful to ask, I know. Congrats on being the first (but surely not the last).
-
OP, how much of your calorie intake is from foods with added sugar (refined sugar, corn syrup, etc)?
-
Wanting to sell her product doesn't make her ignorant. She has some things to offer, even if not 100 percent of what she says is helpful. Her programs are sound and she's helped a lot of people lose weight.

I would say this is a pretty bleak post for someone who calls herself fitnessqueen. Why are you throwing in the towel, fitnessqueen? 1800 calories is a lot...I don't think scaling back ~500 calories would require you to "eat like a rabbit." Don't get discouraged, and add in weight training as was suggested. You'll find…

I'd say dump him...bam...you've just lost 200 pounds of boyfriend weight. (Has this joke been used already? I didn't read all the replies...)
-
Congrats on the weight loss. 115 pounds is a huge accomplishment. You need to find a hobby to get your mind off food. And if you can, change how you view food. Maybe see a counselor.

I've heard of a good one called MyFitnessPal...

Weighed 252.7 on Sunday, so with 10 more days left or so I'm right on track. I'll hopefully hit 10 pounds lost by next weigh in (next Sunday). EDIT: Just realized this was a six week challenge...not one month. So I still can possibly hit 245.

What does "Add drop sets more deep muscle burn" mean? I'd guess beginners don't know what compound movements are...I had to look it up. Also, "create workout split wisely" is a meaningless tip for someone who is fairly new to lifting. I have a question...I've been doing a Push/Legs/Pull workout for about six weeks. I try…

Are people lifting weights too? I do upper body twice a week and there's no way I could do any push ups those days and feel like my arms are still worthless the day after. I can only really do them on my legs day and my day off...
-
If like to be able to do 27 in one minute. Probably won't hit that this month...
-
How many hours a day are you sleeping?
-
"I'm starting on Monday..." became a joke in my house. Ultimately you have to commit to your goals. You're not ready yet, but you'll get there! Something will click within you...

Do you think refined sugar is good for your health and wellness?
-
I applaud the OP. People with normal health may scoff at the idea of eliminating sugars and grains. They haven't suffered from ulcerative colitis. I have for the past 12 years. Those who don't know, it's essentially ulcers in the colon. There are a lot of problems, but the worst for me was having to go to the bathroom…

This is my favorite machine at the gym.
-
Can you go a day without sugar? If so, go one day. Then repeat two or three more times. The cravings will disappear.
-
You're being pathetic.
-
What's an example of something you might get that you're not willing to eat anymore? This question is too broad...
-
This seems like a tough way to go.
-
I like the plan. Except for the no dairy part. She'll lose weight for sure if she sticks to it...
-
It's definitely high. I don't eat back any of my exercise calories because I don't know how high it really is... I'd guess it's off by at least 20 percent.

I am a civilian in the Air Force and my goal is to pass the military fitness test. I don't have to but I feel I should. The active duty I work side by side with do, and their jobs depend on it. For me to pass I need to do 42 sit-ups and 27 push-ups timed (one minute), 1.5 mile run in 14 minutes and a 36 inch waist. Totally…
