Hopping back on the wagon today, despite the fact that I'm going on vacation next week... My main motivation is all of the inflammation in my body right now, which I'm sure is a direct result of the poor food choices I've been making. TOO. MUCH. SUGAR!!!!! My wrist, shoulder and foot hurt and I just want to feel good…

I can be a super nice person, but if you piss me off, watch out!!! I lose my temper so easily!!! I HATE it. It's embarrassing... and possibly dangerous.

I don't want to be an elite athlete, I don't want 15% body fat. I am a 37 year old busy working mom who just wants to be healthy. It shouldn't be this complicated! I should be able to eat a freaking bagel if I feel compelled to, but I can't! In fact, even eating only two meals a day, I have two dozen people telling me that…

I use a heart rate monitor for my exercise burn (I've tried three different ones all with similar outputs), so yeah, 250 is pretty normal for me and it's usually more like 275-300.

How does the average person calculate their BMR if not using online calculators (I tried multiple)??? I started using the food scale today and learned that I've been overestimating the size of my banana, but underestimating the amount of cream that I put in my coffee... So, step one was to cut back on cream and I replaced…

Thanks for all of the replies. Here's my math for a typical week: BMR (according to online calculator): 1600 x 7 days per week = 11,200 calories burned + Exercise: +/- 250 per session (not including walking -- just actual exercise ie: running, HIIT, video, etc) x 5 per week = 1,250 calories burned + = 12,450 calories…

Oooh, now I'm wondering what a "smart scale" is... Off to google...

Same for Canada! We follow the UK way.

Totally agree! When I was starting out, there was no way I would have been able to do HIIT, let alone stick with it!!! I can't tell you the number of Beachbody programs I have bought, only to have them collect dust after the first four days because my body is so sore that I can't sit down, let alone face another workout!…

How many calories do you eat in that tiny window, out of curiosity?

Hey! I just finished my first triathlon (Super Sprint) on Saturday and I'm gearing up for more (longer distances) in the future. Mine was 375m swim, 10K bike and 2.5K run. I was most nervous about the swim. Honestly, I didn't train for it at all and up to the night before I still wasn't 100% I was going to go through with…

I am a recovering sugar addict. Right now I am taking a product made by TruVision Health which completely curbs my cravings and for the first time in YEARS I am no longer a slave to my sugar cravings.

Just for Today: 1. I will log all food - no matter what I eat. Be accountable. 2. I will go to the gym on my way home from work 3. I will not binge after supper (on anything!) 4. I will stay within my aloted calories

I want to feel good in my own skin.

I want to feel comfortable in my own skin. I want to try something on and buy it because I love it and it looks cute, not because it's what fits. I want to wear knee high boots in the fall. I want to have physical endurance and to be able to run without injury!

The best exercise is the one that you enjoy! But, seriously, the secret to running (jogging) is to pace yourself. If you can't breathe, you're going too fast. Try slowing down. Speed will come once your cardio gets a bit stronger. But if you really hate it, try hiking, or biking, maybe?

People were nicer to me after I lost the weight, like I was more approachable or something. I don't know. Some people said I just seemed happier and more happy, so who knows. I guess it's not just the physical change, it's the whole package that makes you more attractive.

I'm a firm believer in (gasp) everything in moderation. As long as I stay within my daily calorie limit I tend to lose weight.
-
Someone at the gym asked if I was losing inches. Does that count as a NSV?

Breaking (back) into one-derland! I'm just a few pounds away. Hoping to see <199.8 VERY soon! Would be nice if it was before the end of January but I'm not holding my breath.

I've been a *kitten* for going on a year... maybe more. I don't know what's up my *kitten*, but I'm so over it.

I think you would add it as a strength training exercise. It doesn't really burn a whole lot of calories on its own.

I REALLY prefer 21 day fix. Different every day, you on't get as sore from doing it. It's not as hard on the joints. In fact, I HATE 30 day shred. I hate Jillian Michaels. I like Autumn Calabrese. 21 Day Fix is just way more fun, it doesn't feel like torture.

Same story here, only I lost 105 lbs (!!!) and gained back 70. Now I'm looking to lose somewhere between 38 and 53 I guess. We'll see how it goes :) I sent you a friend request.

If you're doing any weight training, I've heard that during muscle regeneration the muscles to retain water. Could it be water retention?

LOL Totally random, I guess. I just really LOVE jujubes and the cure was discovered completely by accident :) I should add, my headache is now gone, so it was worth it-- I guess... kind of?!
