  • If you can try going to an earlier class with less people. Give yourself the opportunity to familiarize yourself with how the class is run. Or just get in there and go have fun. Dont take it so seriously and remember everyone else was a newbie at one point. I used to go to group fitness classes all the time and I never pay…
  • You will survive spin 4xs a week but maybe you should break it up so its M,T then Th,F. I dont know if this much spin would benefit your running tho.
  • I bought into the hype too. Tried em and couldn't have more than a bite. Tastes horribly artificial to me and the texture is weird.
  • I'm not sure what the question is? You would meal prep normally and set aside a meal for your SO to eat when he gets home since it varies day to day. If meal prepping for several days works for you then you should go ahead and do that. Do you mean you feel like you should cook daily instead because you're a SAHM? There's…
  • If you feel great, like how you look, and your clothes fit the way you want then don't stress about numbers on the scale.
  • I second the TRX suggestion as well. Very little equipment needed and can be done at home or at work (if you have the space for it).
  • The pain does get better. It should go away in a few days. Glad you're enjoying yoga! Don't push yourself into poses if you feel too much pain from it
  • I like active recovery days. I try to hit my step goal or do yoga. Sometimes I do nothing at all and it's glorious haha
  • Once you get used to your schedule you won't be crashing at 5 pm any more. Work out before/after work, take a walk break during the day, park further away if you drive, always take the stairs, pack healthy meals for yourself.
  • I agree with the above and says the calorie burn is somewhere between 100-300. I've done hot vinyasa flow, bikram, and hot yoga sculpt classes (heated vinyasa + cardio + weights) and have never hit over 300 cals per class. I wear a charge HR for measurements & I know it's not the most accurate but it's a good idea of where…
  • When I do spin I hit the button to record the activity because the calorie burn is a better estimate than MFP. If during your sync your biking doesn't show up on MFP the manually enter. I notice that if you record with the fitbit then manually enter in mfp it will create a duplicate record in fitbit. I simply delete the…
  • I charge via USB port to pc. Mine typically lasts from 3-5 days depending on usage. The more you check your fitbit the more battery it uses.
  • Sorry not sure if this will be very helpful but I generally wipe my fitbit down with rubbing alcohol and that's worked for me. I only take the fitbit off to shower and i've had no odor issues.
  • You can wash your greens, strain out excess water in a colander, then store in tupperware to keep fresh. When you want to make a salad, just pull out your tupperware and use those greens. Don't add any dressing on them until you want to eat them so they stay fresh longer. You can also make salads in jars and place the…
  • Not weighing in as to whether you should or should not have baby food as a snack but I did want to let you know they sell fruit purees in soft packs :) they probably would be less conspicuous if you have them in public. I think I've seen fruit purees in the baby aisle and other brands in the regular produce aisle meant for…
  • What kind of fitbit do you have? Even with the flex there should be an option through the app to just start the timer when you start your walk. If you have a charge or charge hr you just press and hold the left side button to begin recording your work out.
  • I aim to work out 5xs a week for an hour each time. I mix it up between cardio and strength training. I find what's best for me is to do 3 days on, 1 day off, 2 days on, 1 day off...and repeat. I like to go all in too but I've learned from the past that I burn out and end up quitting. So I slowly built up from 2 to 3 work…
  • I have a charge hr and I like it. Gives me more motivation to hit the goals I have set for myself. I also like the social aspect of competing with your friends for the most steps. Battery life isn't the best though and after 9 months the side button on the charge fell off in my sleep. You hold the button down to record…
  • Hi everyone! First post ever on MFP as I just signed up yesterday. I was first diagnosed with hyperthyroidism a decade ago. I was one of those unfortunate ones who ended up gaining weight instead of losing. I've recently had a relapse in thyroiditis and hyper again. Per my endocrinologist, she says I'll have a difficult…
