Amazing! Was it strictly diet or diet and exercise?

I am 5'1 and I have lost 13 pounds since January 17th. I get discouraged when I see people who have lost more than me in the same amount of time, but then I realize that we are all different. I recently took measurements and noticed that I lost 3.5 inches in my waist so that made me feel much better for the relatively…

Hi :) I'm only down 13 pounds and I still do not see a difference. I feel a difference in the way my clothes fit and I've had a few people ask me if I've lost weight while others just notice something different about me.
-
^Agree with this :) You look amazing!
-
Awesome job! You look great!

@yumesoraki Stupid question but can anyone join?

Welcome :) I'm sure this site will be very helpful for you. Good luck in your weight loss journey!

The last minute shenanigans are what makes it even more fun. I do an hour of circuits 4 days a week and cardio 2-3 times a week but it's still funny seeing the things I'll do to get 200 more steps to make it to 10k, 15K or even 20K. It makes me want to move more :)

Agreed!

Wow! What an amazing story! Happy Birthday!

LOL! (And thanks for catching my sarcasm)

I literally work next to an interstate so there is not a whole lot of places for me to walk during the day. At night, I do cardio and circuit training at home. I don't often have a hard time hitting my steps but I still make sure I move a lot during the day so I don't feel so lazy. I guess I mostly didn't want to think I…

^^This is what's important! Logging everything does make you more aware but it also helps because I never wanted to see bad things written down :) Hopefully the change to your thyroid medication is the answer. Good luck!
-
I have done that :)

You can still log your exercise and MFP will estimate them for you. Maybe give that a try?

Before I would have agreed with you, but I found that since I started counting everything I put in my mouth, I noticed small changes on the scale. I worked out 5-7 days a week and I was at the same weight for about 2.5 years and I kept saying I couldn't lose it because of the three C-Sections (2 kids, 1 hysterectomy) I…

I have huge craving for sweets as well. I gave it up for Lent to help a friend out who is trying to give up candy and it was so hard at first. Now, I just realized I haven't had any candy, cookies or overly sweet stuff for about 5 days and didn't even realize it! If I'm craving something sweet, I'll make a hot cup of…

So, that's what I've been doing wrong. I've only lost 7 pounds in the last 5 weeks due to CICO and exercise but apparently I could lose so much more if I just put my food in a box. How big of a box would one need to hold a pounder bag of peanut M&Ms and some wine? The box doesn't need to hold an entire bottle of wine; just…

Yes, but only once, so you're good :)

I have a Fitbit HR and I love it! I alternate it with my Flex when I need to charge it so I don't miss out on my steps. I have noticed that I have to move it up my wrist slightly when I'm doing circuit because of using weights but I think it's pretty accurate with my calories burned. Plus it will tell you if you've eaten…

Hi :) I add my training to my fitbit app and not MFP. I think MFP always gave me way too many calories for my exercises. That's my thoughts...

I have only lost 6 pounds since January 19 so I'm not an expert. I do know that what worked for me the last time I dropped the weight (before my second pregnancy) was circuit training that incorporated cardio with strength training. I found I didn't drop as many pounds at the start but I could see definite changes in my…

I used to work in a manufacturing plant and always hit my steps, but now I work in a small office so I have to come up with more creative ways.
-
Great minds... :)
-
Awesome!!
-
That's funny! I am still chuckling at that!
-
That's so sweet!! :)

Yup, you don't truly understand until you get a Fitbit (or other tracker)
-
Thanks, I think :) My sister just shook her head but I'm sure the other customers were wondering what I was doing running around the parking lot at closing time!
-
That's too funny!
