  • 30g of Cornflakes and 125mls of semi-skimmed milk. Cos I'm boring.
  • When I have my toddler on my back I just count it as a normal walk or hike, same if she's in the pushchair. I don't think the difference between carrying them or not is all that big.
  • I found it got easier once my cycles returned. Seemed the worse time for weight gain was in the months after starting solids.
  • I will just eat normally on Easter Day, emphasis on "normal". Will attempt to eat a sensible amount and not eat til I feel sick like I used to amount. Then next day will be back onto weight loss calories again. A big part of my weight loss journey is learning how to manage food in sensible amounts and part of that is…
  • I found best way to be motivated with to just eat less, smaller portion sizes. That way I could still have a lot of the things I liked just in more sensible amounts.
  • I'm 5'7" Just hit first goal of 13 stone, so that 182lbs. I have a few mini goals in between but next big goal will be 11 stone 7, (161lbs) as it takes me out of overweight BMI and into healthy. I have just gone into a UK size 16 but aiming for a UK size 14. I don't think my boobs will let me go much lower than that.
  • Juicing and drinking smoothies... if that's what helps you eat a lower amount of calories fine. But why not just buy fruit and vegetables rather than wasting money on Juice Plus supplements? I totally understand kicking off a diet with loads of juice and fruit and veg. I totally don't understand spending a fortune on a…
  • Baby #1-- 182lbs before. 182lbs at 4 weeks post partum. Baby #2-- 182lbs before. 175lbs at 4 weeks post partum. (unwell). 182lbs 6 months pp. 189lbs 18 months pp. Baby #3-- 189lbs before. 189lbs at 4 weeks post partum. 189lbs 6 months pp. 202lbs 18 months pp. Currently 184lbs and 21 months pp from baby #3. I tend to gain…
  • Apparently its 20 calories burnt per ounce of breast milk. I have no idea how much my 21 month old takes, but I don't count the calories. I tend to loose in the first 6 months then start gaining again as solids are introduced and nursing gets less. I've found it a lot easier to loose since cycles returned around 18 months.
  • 20lbs in 6 weeks, but half of that was in the first 2 weeks so I'm going to guess a lot of fluid rather than actual fat to begin with. ETA start weight of 202.
  • Not really a long term weight goal. I'm sticking with smaller short term goals. After each goal I kinda know what the next one will be, but I'm not thinking about winning the war, just the next battle! I have another 3lbs to reach pre-first-pregnancy weight. Then another 7lbs to reach the weight I was after my second…
  • I aim for maintenance over the weekends, and don't record religiously. I'd rather eat a sensible all-be-it non weight loss amount, than say I'm going to carry on the deficit, fail, feel guilty and think screw the diet.
  • How old is baby and are you exclusively breastfeeding? My 20 month old nurses quite a few times a day and at least once at night but I don't count the calories at all. I started at 202lbs, currently 186. Perhaps consider reducing the additional nursing calories, especially if baby is eating solids or having any…
  • I'm having exactly the same issue. Big weight loss in first 4 weeks, followed staying the same and now a slight gain. I do however continue to look slimmer and I can only conclude its everything balancing out.
  • Scale. It also really annoys me when recipes are done in "cups".... What's wrong with just telling me how many grams to use?!
  • My weight tends to dip in the first 6 months post partum and then climb again once solids are introduced. My youngest is 20 months and my cycles recently returned. Since they have been back I've been able to loose weight much more easily. But the bit between solids starting and cycles returning I've gained loads, at least…
  • I find I start to gain after a bit. At 10 months your baby is going to be increasing solids and gradually decreasing the amount of your calories they burn. I tend to start gaining again around 6-12 months as baby nurses less frequently, but appetite stays the same.
  • I'm also 13lbs down! I don't think its all that visible yet, especially under the same size clothes. But I feel better. Ignore hurtful comments, you are doing amazing and getting healthier is about so much more than how you look to someone else.
