  • How’s the keto going? I’m in week 2. I am interested to know if you are all still doing this, and what have you lost so far?
  • Yes I just started again after doing this a couple of years ago. Now in week 2 of keto eating. I agree dirty keto is the way forward I too cannot maintain just keto and that’s why I stopped last time. Feel free to friend me if you want to encourage each other. I need the encouragement too. Best of luck.
  • Hi there, well done on what you have accomplished. I want to say losing two and a half stone is amazing! I totally understand how you feel about putting it back on too. That would be hard. In saying that you are on here and it sounds like you are wanting to get back on the plan. In my experience that is a great start. I…
  • I definitely would say do the couch 2 5k. It starts off with walking and running. I am not a runner and am almost at the end. I've taken my time and slowly built up to running for ten minutes straight x2. Doesn't sound like much, but it's huge for me,and it's great for losing weight and shaping up. I wish I'd done it…
  • Although you are overweight you are not hugely overweight. This is similar to me. It took me to the 3-4 week time frame of watching my calories and food intake and exercising till I finally starting losing weight (this is ne now). Hang in there. It will probably just take time. It's a slow process for me. Just be really…
  • Gosh I need help to get motivated to lose again and get back in control of my life too. Can I join your "year"? Thanks.
  • I got a cheap hand held one and they're good. You eat way more healthier foods that include veges through this way, although i wouldn't say it's an exact swap for noodles but it is a tasty vege alternative so it works for sure. I use it for courgette, yam/sweet potato. Enjoy.
  • Just coming back to MFP. I'm going to track all food and exercise (even the not so good stuff) and I'm going to drink more water because I'm getting dehydrated. But I'm back now. It's small but big success, starting this week :)
  • Thanks so much, again that's great advice and I'll do that. One thing at a time. I think I'll track my food again though AND increase my water because that's easy and a great start. Thank you. It really helps to be encouraged by others.
  • Thanks, that's a great idea. I will definitely do that.
  • Sorry ^ I've just started and I'm losing weight and looking after myself by eating healthily now. The key for me was i had to be ready to start this journey. I have tried for the past year but had no success because my head wasn't in the right place. So it's a psychological thing to even get started and I consider that my…
  • Yes golden flax meal is a great addition to pancakes, cereals, muffins. I also make muffin in a mug it takes 2-3 mins and use: gluten free flour about 1/2 cup, you can throw in sweeter (1-2T), 1t gluten free baking powder, 1 tsp melted butter ", fruit or nuts of your choice (eg apple and cinnamon, coconut and blueberries…
  • I'm cutting out refined sugars and finding healthy sweet alternatives, and going low carbs overall as opposed to completely cutting them out. This is very doable.
  • By adding egg whites when you cook rolled oats, and throwing in a little ricotta to my food occasionally too. Not sure if you can have these, but thought I'd share anyway.
