  • Congratulations! I am so happy for you! You are a true inspiration. My God bless you and your family and kept you on the road to continued good health and Happiness.
  • My ideal weight is 120lbs. At that wright, I feel good, my knees stop hurting, and my clothes look good on me. Even though I know this, I still snack too much and my weigh hovers betteen 136 to 140. I then feel sluggish and my knees (arthritics) hurt. Sometimes I hit even 141 or 142, then I get scare and start seriously…
  • My guess is that they are just plain jealous of all you accomplished. They probably have little or no will power and they see that you made big changes to loss 107 lbs. Maybe they would like to lose weight but are not because they are not willing to make lifestyle changes. Try to ignore them and just be so proud of losing…
  • We have all been there. You are not alone. Losing weight can be difficult and frustrating especially when we are surrounded by food all day. First thing, forgive yourself! You may have gained weight but you still are the beautiful you. So begin to love yourself, like your boyfriend/husband does. Don’t think how long it…
  • I reconnected with my childhood friend. We lost contact when I headed off to college. I always wondered what happened to her. We are now in our late 60’s. 2 years ago I finally tried to find her and did. We met for lunch and it was like time stood still. Conversation flowed just like we were kids and teenagers. Now we keep…
  • I say, have that donner kabob for your dinner but not the biggest one you can find. Maybe a 700 kcal one but not the ones over 1,000kcal. Enjoy it and savor every mouthful. Tell yourself, you can one another time, maybe next week. We are looking for a lifestyle, not a temporary diet fix. If they are really important to you…
  • I eat whatever I want on Thanksgiving. I will also eat whatever I want on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and on my birthday. If I have to watch every mouthful on those 4 days, I will feel so deprived and before I know my diet plans will be out the window. I enjoyed every mouthful of everything, especially the desserts.…
  • I love peanut butter. A slice of toast with a generous amount of peanut butter is my usuall breakfast with a glass of OJ and coffee with skim milk. I also love to eat it out of the jar at night. I try not to do that because the next day I feel full and guilty that i can’t eat breakfast. So I make an extreme effort to just…
  • I have the same problem. If I have a cookie with my lunch, it will start me off that after eating that delicious cookie it will make me want to eat junk all day. If I stay away from the junk, I don’t look for it unless it’s put in front of me. I told my Doctor about this. I asked him is this all in my mind. He said no…
  • I am 5’6” 134lbs Size small in tops, size 8 in pants or small/medium in pants
  • You can count be in. I need to lose 18lbs. I been losing and gaining the same 10lbs. I seem to lose that 10 lbs and instead of continuing to lose that last 8lbs, either I get bored, depressed, a holiday comes or a function I have to attend and before I know it the 10lbs are back again. Truthfullly with this extra 18lbs, I…
  • It’s hard to believe that in this whole vast universe we are alone. Most likely somewhere in the universe there are intelligent beings. For them to come to earth, they would have to be far superior to us. If they are so much more superior than us, than most likely the outcome for us would not be good. My theory is that we…
  • I battle weigh constantly because I love to eat. I used to be very heavy (size 18). Now I go up and down 10 lbs. But I never let it go over 10lbs. More than that is really hard to lose. Now I am trying to lose the last 5 lbs of the 10 I gained. However, if I starting gaining too much weight I will have nothing to wear.…
  • With a torn rotary cuff, the first step they try is physical therapy. Sometimes that is all you need. It didn’t help me. Mine was a full rotary cuff tear. I needed surgery. They put pins in the shoulder and I had to wear a sling for 3 months. It healed. Recovery also included more physical therapy. Best of luck to you!
  • I had rotary cuff surgery. While recovering, I slept on my back with 2 pillows under my head. That helped me. Until then forget the shoulder exercises. Get your Doctor’s opinion. He will probably send you for an X-ray and/or MRI. I tore my rotary cuff throwing a ball, so dopey things can happen. Best of luck to you!
  • I completely understand and can relate to what you are saying. I love to eat. My biggest downfall is late night snacking. Because of that I’ve been trying to go to bed earlier so I am not up all night eating. I notice that works for me. Right now I am trying to lose weight. Both of my knees are bad. The more weight I gain,…
  • You are a pretty girl. There is no reason in the world you need this loser to drag you down. You don’t need him. Did you ever think that once he is gone, you are now open to meet the guy who will love you and respect you for the good person you on? But don’t focus on a guy for now, focus on you, what makes you happy, focus…
  • The last 10 lbs is always the hardest to lose because you are so close to your goal. Right now I am 9 lbs from my goal. I have good days where I am on track and other days when I eat more than I should. Summer is coming, so I am getting serious about knocking off that last 9-10 lbs. I will keep tracking, look at calories…
  • I love night eating snacking, which is why I have a weight problem. I love cookies and would sit in front of the TV mindlessly eating those Oreos or Chip a hoys. I found what works for me is just not to buy the cookies. I keep lots of fruit in the house to snack on. If I want a sweet fix, I make a hot chocolate (nestles-80…
  • Thank you! I’ve been struggling to get back my motivation to be fit since Christmas and failing miserably with the late night snacking. After reading this I realized I did not make the decision to eat healthy. I just blamed lack of motivation. I already lost 30lbs. I need to lose 20 more lbs. I can do this! Thank you for…
  • After O comes P for Polite After R comes S for Steady
  • I like this thread. I have 25 lbs to lose. I tend to lose the 20lbs and gain it all back. I know this is not good to do to your heart or your knees. I am so tired of beating myself up. I look in the mirror and think, look at all those wrinkles, that big belly and those fat legs. Would I do that to a friend? No way, I am…
  • I have low thyroid. I had all the symtoms thinning hair, fatigue, and gaining weight no matter how little I ate. I had a full thyroid workup. Fortunately, my Doctor found the correct dosage of medication. Now when I want/need to lose weight I can. Basically I am now at a normal weight for my height. I use the fitness pal…
  • You are definitely not alone. With me, i am eating very little and losing weight. Than I begin to start feeling good. Then something will trigger me, like someone's birthday, stress, a holiday, someone baking a delicious cake and bringing it to office for everyone, etc and that will start making me feel again out of…
  • Good luck to you and your friend! 42lbs is impressive. Be proud of yourself! Soon you'll be at your goal. You can do it!
  • I would kindly talk to the group in a nice way and say, listen, maybe you think I shouldn't be on your team, but I truly believe I would be an asset to this team. It has always been my dream to help people with PTSD. So I am willing to work hard and do whatever it takes to help make this team be successful. I am asking you…
  • I have the same problem! Night is the worse time to be eating because you don't have a chance to burn off the calories. I struggle with this nightly. What helps me somewhat is that I plan a nightly snack that is within my daily calorie allowance. I could be some fruit, a 100 calorie chocolate pudding with some reddi whip,…
  • I read all your posts. I understand completely all of the struggles that everyone is dealing with. I too deal with all these issues. I love food, sweets, junk food, and late night snacking. It makes the pounds just pile on. Now I have major knee issues and I'm always in pain. What is helping me to log and trying to stay on…
