Interesting, thanks for this!

You said you lost 5 pounds, so, therefore, you're in a deficit.
-
As opposed to dysfunctional fitness :)
-
You can't build muscle in a calorie deficit. The bodyweight/weight training is good as it'll help your body hold onto the muscle you already have but you wouldn't see an increase of muscle mass as you're eating in a deficit.
-
Be patient. It can take weeks for fat loss to eventually show on the scale.

They don't work no.

I have larger calves and I struggled for years with it, especially as I was bullied as a teenager for it. I'm 5ft 4 and currently 64.5kg (so heavier than I'd like to be) my normal weight is 55 - 58kg and I still have "large" calves. For me personally, weight training and running helped them slim slightly and when they look…

I mean science shows they do next to nothing but ok.

I went off anti-depressants cold turkey once, didn't realise at the time how dangerous it was. It was 3-4 weeks of pure hell, then, less than two months later, huge relapse and back on them at a higher dose. This is a discussion to have with your doctor, there isn't food that will replace medication though (although some…

Rest days are one of the most important factors with muscle growth. That's when the healing and the growing happens. Even Olympic athletes have 1-2 a week.

"Dr" Jason Fung is a junk scientist.

All of this is bad advice.

THIS is likely the issue. An older scale is not going to be accurate. Get a digital scale, weight EVERYTHING, give it another 8 weeks and then see. Also, your metabolism doesn't just up and leave in your 30s. What usually happens is people's lives become more sedentary, they have less time to go to the gym, they start to…

It's a chain of gyms, they're based on 45 minute workouts.

I got stretch marks on my hips at around 17 - 18. I'm 31 now and they've long since faded :) Some body oils and creams can help them fade faster I believe.

OP you came to the wrong place if you want to complain about carbs. We like carbs and there is no reason (unless you have a medical issue) to avoid them.
-
I've just been and looked at some of your other posts OP and there is a theme here. You clearly have an eating disorder and asking the same questions multiple different ways on these forums isn't going to give you the answer you desire. Please go and see a doctor.

All you seem to eat is beans, tofu, pumpkin and some veges. Seems very restrictive and likely very high fibre, that factored with the fact you eat very little fat which could be causing constipation. However, go to the doctor, and eat more food.
-
This is true.

BCAAs aren't needed, if you eat animal products then you'll be getting them from your food. BCAAs have become the go-to marketing push for Instagram influencers currently. My other half coaches Olympic athletes and none of them take BCAAS. If they don't need them, then you don't need them.

So a couple of months ago I had a brussell sprout salad with apple and honey dressing (I think) oh my gosh it was like I'd died and gone to heaven.

Still waiting to like olives. I think it'll happen eventually. I used to hate hummus, pesto and tomatos, now I like them.

You do know that drinking too much water is bad for you? It can dilute your sodium, causing low blood pressure which can then cause a heart attack. It can literally kill you. What are you trying to achieve by drinking so much water? I'm lucky if I drink one glass of water in a day, I get hydration from tea, diet sodas and…

Tried them, they gave me constipation which is the opposite of what they're meant to do, so go figure.

Pasta, when I first weighed it, I could have cried. Also beef, I had no idea beef had so many calories.
-
Nothing, I occasionally think "I should eat more fruit" but I don't particularly like it, I prefer veggies and figure they'll cover off anything I'm missing out of from fruit.
-
It's the tannins in the tea. I would be DEVASTED if I couldn't drink tea.

Pretty sure this is a supplement salesperson trying to make a buck.

I have asked this elsewhere and someone probably answered me but I can't find it. Why is everyone suddenly obsessed with potassium levels? I literally never think of it.

I weigh daily, but lately, due to my own lack of focus, it's rapidly trending up haha.
