You can make a classic potato soup just substituting oat or cashew milk. Don't boil the alternative milks since they separate very easily. I am allergic to the proteins in dairy so I sub all the time. You can make cream sauces the same way and add vegan cheese to make a cheese sauce. Anytime you see vegan on the label, you…

You can make quick breads with gluten free flours (less chance of yeast contamination) and baking powder. Be sure to stay away from the melon family (they harbor molds on the skins).

Most of the time, company's try their new products in several places that they can control how fast the product gets "outside" of the test market. If it bombs, they don't want a lot of negative press.

The tuna packets are a good idea. These come in several flavors that he could mix into the rice. He could also try to find some canned meats (chicken comes in the packets now). Soups, chili, canned beans, and instant masked potatoes are also good staples to have that don't take refrigeration.

My son has crones and can't have ANY tomatoes or peppers(SKIN and SEEDS). We make either olive oil and herb pasta or a pesto without nuts(Again can't have most kinds) For heat, try black pepper, Mixed pepper(red, white and black) or cumin. Also try garam massala instead of curry with some added turmeric for color.

I am allergic to ALL DAIRY soNO cheese, ice cream, sour cream, butter, Etc. I, however, really enjoy BREATHING so this isn't really that hard to give up. What is really shocking is reading ingredient lists on foods and finding out just how many have added milk. There are certain cold cuts that have milk added that I would…

I have a milk protein allergy. If you and your baby can eat nuts, I would use almond milk or cashew milk. These can be substituted for regular milk in most recipes. Just make sure you get plain unsweetened since there are sweetened and vanilla flavors that won't go with savory recipes. If you need cheese for something,…
