Make sure you're getting enough rest. If you feel more than just a little sore take it a little easier. A lot of people that are new to the gym overdue to in the beginning and get injured. Keep up the good work!

Do whatever you will be comfortable with. You'll achieve your goals and enjoy it if you don't try to overdue it. Focus more on logging your daily food logs, getting in daily exercise and staying motivated.

How about yogurt? Full of protein and tastes good.

Certainly isn't easy. I often travel for a week for work and we usually go out to eat each night. If you're in the same boat I would just recommend ordering first. If you order first you won't be as tempted to order something you'd rather avoid as you'll already have placed your order.

Oh the memories of college and the cafeterias ... the devil in disguise >:) I graduated from High School weighing in at about 160lbs and by the time I graduated from College four years later I was about 190lbs. A lot of that was muscle, but certainly not all of it!

I think it's already been mentioned, but I too enjoy GU Energy Gel - Root Beer Flavored. It's got the Root Beer taste (and smell) without being too overpowering. I take one about 5-10 minutes before every run with a few sips of water.

+1 on the Chili. I just had a Baked Potato with Chili on it (not vegan, but it could be if you wanted it to be), and it was delicious.

Puffins Cereal (I prefer the Multi-grain but there's a variety). Great tasting cereal and quite good for you.

Mine's open and will be active every day.

I could use some friends to hang with, see the world with, explore with.... or we could just like each other's statuses.

Everyone goes through something like this in their journey to their ideal fitness goals. Keep up the logging, exercise and positive thoughts and you'll get through it and be a stronger person for it.

I would recommend whey protein powder from Optimum Nutrition (Rocky Road flavor is quite good), as well as Animal Flex from Universal Nutrition (creators of the Animal Pak); it will help support your joints which might be in a bit of a shock if you're just starting to get back into the gym. Other than that, I wouldn't…

There's plenty of good sugars in fruit, such as bananas, so as long as it's coming from a good source and not from a pixie stick, I tend to not worry too much.
-
Sounds like a start in the right direction. If you try to be active every day you'll be well on your way.

Since 1200 isn't a lot to work with, I would suggest not going too overly high on any particular meal and that might give you some room for snacking later in the evening when the hunger starts to set in.

On days where I do cardio I always take a GU Energy Gel (about 10 minutes prior to running), which has 60mg of Sodium and other Amino Acids/Electrolytes. I do not take it on my break day.

I find a lot of younger people think they are naturally slim, until the day age catches up with them and they realize they can't keep it up any more; around the mid twenties in my experience. :)

Just because you are not losing weight does not mean you are not getting more fit. Do the exercise, keep the diet in check, and the weight will come in time.
