  • 29 y/o Edmontonian over here! Always looking for new friends! :)
  • This really struck home for me. I often find myself thinking about all the things I'll do when I get "there". I know, deep down, that I've missed out on a lot of good things in my life because I was too busy being focused on thinking about how I'm going to look in the future. I am definitely not as happy as I could be. I'm…
  • Awesome work!!! You look fantastic! Also, that dress is hella cute! :)
  • I agree with the others who said if you didn't black out, it wasn't that great of a 21st birthday!! Two of my best girlfriends took me to Vegas for my stagette and I was so trashed I passed out in the bathroom of the Imperial Palace. This was shortly after I asked the waitress if I could swing on the giant tire swing above…
  • I am the exact same way. I know I usually gain about 1.5-2lbs during the day and I lose about 1.5-2lbs during the night. So if the number is 2+lbs at night then I feel more prepared for a higher number the next day and won't beat myself up over the number. I just work out harder at the gym to make up for the gain from the…
  • I thought this EXACT same thing!! ROCK IT GIRL!! You look fantastic! :D
  • I still call it a gime and then I get funny looks. ;) I just love his answer when he walks through the door. Makes me laugh every time!
  • I'm also a low-carber and sometimes when I eat too much fibre I get gassy. But I second the comment about drinking lots of water. It really will help things get moving. *TMI ALERT* My tummy makes this gurgling noise and then I know it's time to go! I LOL'd when I read your post but not because I'm mean. It was half…
  • I'm listening to the Vitamin String Quartet Performs Lady Gaga :)
  • I've never understood those morons. Don't they understand what a gime is for?? (Please tell me someone else gets that reference.)
  • I was just about to say this exact same thing. :)
  • My rest days tend to rotate but I'm always conscious of my eating habits 7 days a week. :) Always happy to motivate weight loss buddies. For me what really helped was making my food diary visible to my friends. It makes me feel like those people are going to hold me accountable for making good choices in my diet (since…
  • Wow!! You look fantastic!!! I remember being in college. I gained the Freshmen 15 for me and my three closest friends. ;) PS: I LOVE YOUR DRESS. Where did you get it?? (I'm Canadian, so I'm hoping it's somewhere I can order online! hehe)
  • I second/third what everyone else has said. :) I also add a couple teaspoons of Benefiber (or store brand comparable product) to my water and food (not so much with yogurt cause it makes the yogurt kinda lumpy!). So far it's worked for me. :)
  • Rhett Butler from Gone With The Wind! I love me a man who knows (and subsequently gets!) what he wants. Phwoar.
  • Health Canada (since I'm Canadian) recommends 1500mg be the maximum. http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/fn-an/nutrition/sodium/qa-sodium-qr-eng.php#a4 I try to stay around that number. :)
  • If I could get surgery, I'd get it done on my neck/jawline. Even at my thinnest (5'3" and 122lbs) I didn't have a really defined jaw/neck.
  • Bwahahah! I'm totally the person he's talking about. I wouldn't call it suckering, necessarily! More like, "Hey I'm going to drink the kool-aid over at MyFitnessPal and I think you should too!" I mean, if you're going to join a cult, it may as well be a healthy cult right? :drinker:
  • Me and the husband (Sclams) met on Plenty of Fish. We'd both been in short term relationships with other people we met on PoF but nothing really clicked. And then in November 2006 he messaged me and we hit it off and started talking over IM during the day. We had our first date on December 1 2006, moved in together…
  • I second what jrdoty8986 said! :) If you have time to cook up a big batch of something (even something like chili or a chicken/turkey stoup), you can portion it into freezable containers which you can then pop into your lunchbag to take with you. Heck even when I don't make a big batch of something and I just have…
  • I agree! Having a support network can do wonders for accomplishing goals! :) Like Incunabulum said - the more the merrier!
  • Hehehe :D I am the exact same ('cept for the head part but I think you are just trying to be funny). When I see my doctor for my yearly physical, I try to wear my lightest clothes possible since they insist on weighing people in clothes. The nurses make us put on those paper gowns afterwards anyway, why can't they just…
  • Great idea!! The more people you have holding you accountable for reaching your goals, the better chances you'll have of succeeding! I'm a big believer that with a strong support network, you can do anything! :) I like your idea of the giant calendar! I ended up putting mine in a duotang (I have other stuff to keep track…
  • _W would represent the different stages of weight loss: Highest, Lowest, Current, and Goal :)
  • Thanks sandi228!! I was wondering what NSV meant and even tried to look it up online. :)
  • I'm 5'3" and my goal is 115. I'm currently 152 so still got a'weighs to go! ;)
