Sometimes it helps to look in the mirror. Sometimes I check out the "success stories" forum. I also follow a lot of fitness people on YouTube and Instagram so I'll check those out when I need motivation. Also like to think about my "why"- my reason for doing this (health, confidence, to be a role model, to live longer and…

I still think you just need to stick to it longer and be consistent. Appropriate macros can help too- do you meet your protein goals? How about carbs and fats? I would increase calories slightly or at least stick to 1200 (not 1000). Keep going another month or 2 and let us know how it goes. You don't need the weight loss…

Also 4 weeks is not really long enough to judge wether weight loss is happening. Day to day fluctuations will be greater than your actual loss rate so you can't really tell how much you've lost until you're a few months in and tracked your weight and the general trend is going down. 1 month is too short a time frame. I'd…

Even with a thyroid issue at your height weight and activity level it should be impossible not to be losing weight when you eat between 1000 and 1200 calories... is that your total for the day or do you also eat exercise calories? If you eat exercise calories back maybe you are drastically over estimating how much you…

Check the entries you're picking from the database. Your macros add up to your calorie goal so the foods you're picking from the database must have the wrong macros or calories information. Also sometimes things get a little funny if you're consuming stuff that has artificial sweeteners which may technically count as carbs…

It's check in day btw, how is everyone doing? How are you doing on your progress towards your goals?

147.8 lbs today!! That's a 1.2 lb loss from last Saturday. I got back to the low weight from when I was sick! This time with proper calories and exercise instead of from feeling horrible. Yay!! Just 2.8 pounds away from an officially healthy BMI!! (145 pounds for 5'4" female). Getting so close...!

This one is a little different- the left is me about 6 years ago at about the same weight as the pic on the right but with no exercise at all- I'm younger and wearing makeup so of course I'm cuter, but I'm soft all over with high body fat percentage and very little muscle. The right is me a couple months ago - I'm a bit…

About 4.5 months progress

But yes it really is just that simple... Calorie surplus (eating more than you burn) = weight gain Calorie deficit (eating less than you burn) = weight loss Maintenance calories (eating the same as you burn) = stay the same weight
-
Mostly yes. More specifically... there are a few things to keep in mind: •you don't want too much of a deficit. You must eat less calories than you burn in a day to lose weight, but if you eat TOO FEW calories- fewer calories than your BMR- it becomes counterproductive because you will start to have negative health effects…

I've heard creatin loading is unnecessary and just a ploy to make you buy more and spend more $

I noticed today that I can see my collar bones again!! It's been a long time!

Are you eating 1200 total or is 1200 your goal and you eat back exercise calories too? You could be overestimating your exercise calories.
-
That would be too large a portion for me personally but I eat 5 or 6 mini meals a day so that's a perfectly fine amount for if you're doing like 3 meals a day. But portions don't matter really, just total calories.
-
If anything your calorie intake sounds too low for your height and activity level do I have a feeling that you're not really eating 1200 calories. Don't forget to count oils and butter used for cooking food too.
-
Use a digital food scale to measure your food- I have a feeling you aren't right now? Everything except liquids must be weighed for accuracy.

So far so good! Getting close to goal :)

Holy cow! Wow!

I feel ya- my tummy does not cooperate at all!!

I love squats too!! This is literally the first time in my entire life that I actually like how my legs look and have muscle definition & shapely legs instead of just chubby squishy chunky thighs!! Thank you squats!!! (And deadlifts and lunges and step ups)
-
Oh ok thanks! I learn something new on here every day, I love it! I'm personally aiming for 5 pounds under goal, so I will end up at or slightly under goal after I go back to maintenance hopefully.

I can relate to this so much!!
