  • Yes! Weekends are the worst! They're the only days that I'm actually home with my kids - and my 6 year old step daughter is THE pickiest eater. We wind up eating uber processed crap because it's easier than fighting with her at every meal. I've been struggling in general lately because of the stress from an upcoming move.…
  • Sharing your activity within the activity app. It's similar to becoming friends through FitBit. You can see when the people you are sharing your activity with complete a workout, hit their goals, earn achievements etc. You can also send them messages to cheer them on and such. It works vice-versa too.
  • Don't think of it as a diet. Think in terms of small changes. Trade water for soda. Add a 5 or 10 minute walk into your day. Log your food (I find it easier to do just before I eat it) and decide if you really need that second helping. If you think of it as a diet, you will fail. It's a lifestyle change.
  • Right now, I'm looking to be under 200 at my morning weigh in every day for a week. I was at 199.6 & 199.8 Sunday and Monday then back up to 202 yesterday, 201 this morning so I have hope that maybe next week can be that week. NSV Goal is to have to get another hole added to my custom belt that I bought at the Renaissance…

  • I was losing faster than expected the first 6 weeks or so (~2lbs/week). The last couple weeks I've just been exhausted so I haven't been doing as well with the tracking and staying under calories. I do get intentional walks in everyday at work (1-2miles in at about 3mph) and I've been trying to work out at home. That's why…

  • Kasey, have you thought about giving martial arts a try? I teach karate and we have had a large number of students over the years that have had ADD, ADHD, and Autism. Many of them are able to reduce or get off their meds because of the focus and energy release that martial arts gives them. Most schools will let you stop in…
  • I guess my fall back is martial arts. I started when I was like 5, 20+ years later, I teach karate on a regular basis (heck, I taught karate 2 days before having a baby). The nice thing about that sport for someone who gets bored with something, is there are constantly new things to learn and work on. Once you get one set…
  • I know I'm definitely out of sorts! My daughter is having a rough time with it so momma and daddy are definitely struggling too! Ate way too much for dinner last night (steak and potatoes with a salad and a nice glass of wine) but it's been a while since I had a good meat and potatoes meal. Getting back on track today (I…
  • More than likely you're retaining water from your new workout regime. Also, make sure you're double checking the entries that are popping up when you scan them - there are a LOT of entries that are not correct. How are you measuring your food? Estimating? Weighing solids & only using measuring cups for liquids? If you're…
  • Yes ma'am! I think most people check in weekly.

  • It will sync with fitbit for tracking activity (steps at least) but won't sync with MFP. :disappointed: BUT there is an option to upload a photo of your food - I've been taking a screen shot of my meals once they're logged in MFP and just uploading that. Annoying to have to remember, but it could definitely be worse.
  • The batman shirt
  • I've had the FitBit One, and it was great. Recently moved to an Apple Watch - I love the watch. I have a watch face that shows my "rings" one for my "move" (active calorie burn), one for my Active Minutes, and one for my hourly stand goal. It definitely gives me the motivation to try and close those rings every day. I like…
  • I don't so much meal prep, as I make sure to meal plan and grocery shop for all the items to make those specific meals. I have it planned out as to which nights I'll eat those meals, but if it doesn't sound appetizing, I can always trade it out for one of the meals I haven't had yet. I try to make sure there's a protein in…
  • Thank you HRKinchen! Hubby and I put an offer in on a house last week, so we were super stressed with whether it would be accepted, gathering info for the mortgage, getting it inspected, etc. New we have a small reprieve that will be consumed by packing/going through & getting rid of stuff before we can move. On the bright…
