  • Some foods do cause you to retain water. Salt causes the kidneys to retain water, while excess sugar causes the body to produce insulin, which in turn hinders the body’s ability to get rid of salt. It could have been the cookie. Funny how a question is treated like a cry for help. Everyone tries to fix the problem.

  • I like steel cut oats. I soak them over night in water with a little ACV. That way they cook faster in the morning.   • I don't use any sugar. I eat a lot of fruit and use Sweetleaf stevia. I found some today that is pure powder. A container of .9 oz. = 1k servings. The serving size is 1/80th of a teaspoon. I am going to have fun figuring that out.
