Thanks a lot. I will definitely watch that video. I feel like I'm getting better but now it's becoming more of a mobility issue when it comes to the Snatch as my arms are extended above my body. Thank you for your response.
-
Good point. I think once I hit a plateau I will look I to those extra accessory workouts to help break that. Thanks for the response.
-
Well done Cody. You just have to stick with it.
-
It is hard to balance your training. I had neglected the bench for a while, mainly focusing on squatting and deadlift and other isolated exercises. Now I'm trying to balance everything out by incorporating Olympic lifting.
-
Yes. Very impressive bench JoRocka!
-
Thank you. Although I'm sure I have not hit a plateau yet. That's amazing though, one day I'll be joining the #300Club

Awesome. Got some great input. I have been consistently training for just over 4 months, but I'm hoping to gain more strength. Thank y'all for you're responses. I'd love to be in a competition soon.
-
Thank you. I appreciate your response. I've also noticed that a 1.5xBodyWeight is not uncommon.

Thank you! I was hoping more of these kind of responses. You're absolutely right about the study though, and like I said. Our body super more complex and one study is insufficient. There's almost always an agenda. But hey, next time, i will be careful what I post about and try to respond sonner.
-
Yes. To be honest, I was super shocked by the responses, but I responded as soon as I could. I did read the study and like any study, it did lack some things to make it completely valid. Number of participants, hard to keep track of what the participants where eating, anyway, thebhumas is complex and we all react…

My wife has a PHD in Exercise Physiology and a BS in Biochemistry, while I have a Masters in Civil Engineering. So we believe in science and getting the right information and doing our own research. It's not hard to see here those that don't value science based information. Thanks for the heads up.

Also, it appears everyone here is an expert and has doctor's degree in nutrition, exercise physiology and chemistry. Who would've thought. Still, I appreciate all the zeal from this group.

Haha, thanks, i guess. It may not help you lose weight, but it's just one of those things that it doesn't hurt to take but it's also not a magic solution or a replacement for hard work in the gym and discipline in your diet. To which I am fully aware and am not a believer of "shortcuts" or magic pills or wraps, but I also…

Oh wow, I guess I should read ALL the threads before posting something huh? My apologies if I increased your heart rate and got you closer to a heart attack with this post. I will have to agree about the terrible smell.
-
Interesting responses y'all. Thanks for your input.
-
Me too! Started I drinking Diet Coke since I got married, but now I wonder if I should try Zero. Hmmm
-
Yeah, I've been focusing on power cleans and power snatches the past couple of days. It's takes a lot of practice but I'll get there. Thank you.
-
Thank you! I will definitely continue to practice. Those are great videos too!

And no food. As long as I start working out first thing I don't even think about food.

When it comes to working out in the morning, it really depends on how your nights are. If you can go to be consistently at 8PM or even 9PM, then you're golden. Your body will adjust and you'll have the best workout ever and feel super energetic the rest of the day. Plus, confident since you've already accomplished…

Thank you everyone for your comments! Wow, I guess it varies a lot for everyone. I've also found that being well hydrated reduces the effects. Also aged cheese tends to do the same. The more aged, the better. Again, thank y'all. Make sure to add me if you want. My food diary is public.

Oh, I'm excited to use it. It should get here to day from Rogue. Got some weightlifting shoes too.
-
I take pills but I haven't figure out to make them work. Haha, I do the same with ice cream. But it has to be a good ice cream to make it worth it. Sometimes even chocolate covered peanuts give me pain.
-
Thank y'all for your comments. It seems like many prefer not to use gloves in general unless they have very sensitive skin, which I understand. I recently bought liquid chalk to help with heavy deadlifts.

I too prefer Diet Dr. P. Good choice.

I would slowly cut down your servings. Start with every other day, then 3 days a week, then 2, then only on Sunday or something. You can also put your junk food in zip loc bags and divide them throughout the week. You can also search for alternatives, pick whole grain chips instead of regular, etc. or if you can't stay…

Not much to add to what has been said but maybe the fact that everyone's macros are different for your specific goals and sometimes you have to play with it to see what your body reacts better with. I'm a 50/30/20. P/F/C

I'll going your group!
