1200 is doable for a low energy day or two. I shoot for a 1000 calorie deficit a day, some higher, some lower. Thats 7000 calories a week or two pounds. I dont think I'd be able to do 1200 everyday.

Started exactly 348 days ago at 320lbs. I'm somewhere in the 220's today. I walk a lot and log every calorie. Not exactly a success story yet, but I have a feeling in another year I will be.

I used to have these (for lack of better wording) fat deposit halfway on the outer upper arm. If you were looking at a silhouette of my arm a few months ago, there would have been a very defined lump. Well, no more! Not only that, theres a freaking muscle there that I can make/watch flex. Pretty awesome. Made me so self…

So inspirational, thank you for sharing and for not giving up

So awesome!

If you have a 1000 calorie deficit everyday that will equal 2lbs a week. Theres a lot of schools of thought on how to achieve this.

I dont have to shop in plus size anymore!!! Went to grab hubby some work shirts and decided to try some jeans to get my size. I started last december as a 24... so i tried 18's, too big. 16's too big... went to REGULAR sizes and tried on 14's and they fit and i didnt have to try to suck in my gut or anything!

Thanks! I walk a lot, at least 4x a week. Put my headphones in and its become a decompression tool from lifes stresses for me, at least an hour. Some days I go hiking, and I swing my arms like crazy lol. Recently got promoted at work and my new position has me clocking close to 20k steps a day so thats definitely helping.…

I GOT HIT ON! By a gorgeous man, too. I havent experience this in years. A temp construction worker went out and asked if I wanted a coffee (cream, no sugar ;) ) and brought it back. Didnt notice the inscription until after he left. Made my day. Now, I'm married and all, but doesnt mean I wasnt extremely flattered.

In the last 10 months I have lost 85lbs. No special diet, just kept a 1000 cal deficit and walked A LOT. Good luck

Got a new promotion at work! Which means I've doubled my daily steps. From 10k to easily 20k!

Ive binged my entire life. I've had one in the last 3 months, and it wasnt nearly as bad as it used to be. Hang in there!

I started at 320 on december 8th 2016 Today im 238. A long way to go but I meet ur 80+ lb threshold. I once heard you can break any bad habit in 6 months and lately, eating less and moving more feels normal. My 3 point advice: 1. Get a fitbit or fitness tracker 2. Add friends on there and mfp, theyll help keep you…

That the worst you feel on a good (foods) day is so much better than the best you feel on a bad day

The best thing you can do is drink lots of water daily (which helps diets in a plethora of other ways) and weight training. Your skin is attached to fat now, when thats gone theres nothing for skin to hang on to. Building muscle can at least reduce the appearance of loose skin. I had a friend that lost a lot and had a…

After a lifetime of binge eating, I havent had a singpe binge since june 12th. Almost 3 months!

Well done. You look 5 years younger

Very good advice here. I think tweaking somethings will help. #1 as diannethegeek pointed out, recaluating my goals on mfp. I suppose because of the weight loss, my daily calorie goal dropped ~250 even with everything else the same. I also stopped breastfeeding this month which must have been helping my calorie deficit in…
