Weight? Yes! Fat? Probably not.
-
I think this is a great strategy!

Yes you should but it also depends on how quickly you want to lose weight and how hungry you are. Your net 1200 calories already includes a deficit to lose weight (2lbs/week) so netting 1000 calories just makes an already large deficit to be larger. Larger deficits can lead to binging later, lack of energy and if done for…

My city (Chicago) has fitness centers in many parks. Very basic equipment but no one is ever in there. $150 a year. Worth it.

Be prepared that you may be opening Pandora's Box.

No. I just don't eat until 12 every day bc I'm not hungry until then.

I did 23andMe and found out I have a slight increased risk of getting Alzheimer's. I also found a cousin that no one wanted me to find out about. Use with caution!

I am on Aspirin as a blood thinner now
To clarify, aspirin does not have the same limitations as Coumadin/warfarin or Heparin/Lovenox.
Also, dabigatran/pradaxa is commonly prescribed and doesn't have the same limitations as other blood thinners. I was on it for months, had no side effects to what I ate or…

Nothing is inherently unhealthy about the foods you're avoiding unless medically you need to avoid them.

I have also had a cryptogenic stroke, when I was 29. I'm 31 now, I do everything I was doing before. Although I am 59lbs lighter. My doctors never told me to limit exercise or really told me not to exercise. Every person and body is different. ETA: as a precaution I no longer take BC with hormones. Although my doctors are…

This is why weighing your food in grams on a food scale is so important. Measuring cups are very inaccurate.

I lost 50lbs just walking and eating within my calories. I walked by the tennis court everyday and took lessons bc it looked like fun. And then I started running bc I wanted to burn more calories. Just beware that walking can be your exercise gateway drug.

It might be frustrating now but expect this happen again, multiple times over the course of your life. It's important to deal with how you feel about this now so it doesn't affect you so much in the future. If you've been eating in a deficit, then there's really nothing to worry about.
-
I do this on accident. And it isn't related to IF, I just eat within my calorie target each day and that typically means not eating until like 12pm bc I'm just not hungry.
-
Eat more during lunch? I don't see anything wrong a with snack if it fits into your calorie target for the day.
-
Yes I thought like this and it lead to losing 60lbs. Now that I've lost that weight, I think about calories still but not as much as I did before.
-
Yes you should. If you are accurately tracking your intake (food scale) and accurately tracking your calories burned then yes you should.

I seriously regret not working out more during my weight loss. I can barely lift anything over 30lbs now. I'm back at it now but I'm worried I won't be able to lift my niece when I see her later this year. Also, my survival mode kicked in the other day when I wasn't able to quickly lift up a rug that fell near the dog. I…

My right arm, shoulder, and boob are larger than my left. I find it's correlated to lots of sports playing and throwing with my right arm. Tis life.

You won't find much support here. I also suggest you get a new doctor.

I find that giving myself ultimatums don't work. It doesn't have to be all or nothing. Today I feel stressed out and want ice cream, so I save some calories today for ice cream. Tomorrow might be more calm so I'll eat fruit instead. What's consistent is my awareness of what I'm eating, how much of it I'm eating, and…

I thought you got some solid advice here. Sure... some was *kitten* but that's kind of what to expect when asking strangers on the internet.

Diet Coke! Or crystal light. Or some tea with honey? I also like to munch on carrots to get that sweet taste.

Go for a long walk. I look forward to my rest days bc I can catch up on podcasts and spend my alone time taking a 5 mile walk. I am able to learn something new and give my body the rest it needs. Or maybe try to learn a new sport? I joined a non competitive volleyball league this winter where I don't burn many calories bc…

If you are accurately tracking the calories in and also the calories burned, then yes you should eat them back. The problem I see with my friends is they give themselves way too high if a calorie burn or they are under estimating they're calorie intake or both which causes the equation to be lopsided.

Did you actually gain wait? Or are you considering changing your doctors ordered based on someone saying you look like you're gaining weight? Seems a little extreme.
-
Tip #1 embrace how you got here, which has nothing to do with your doctor, and then move on. Weight gain happens when you eat more calories than you burn a day, in order to lose weight just do the opposite of that.
-
Totally unnecessary for weight loss.

The best thing about using the scale is the knowledge you can use when you can't use the scale. For example at restaurants or work functions. I can more accurate track what's on my plate based on what I've measured at home. It's a great tool! Also, I've become that person who asks the wait staff how many ounces is the fish…
