Hey all. Back again. Last few weeks saw lots of work, my birthday (so avoided the scales :#), a work trip to Poland (with pizza lunch and steak dinner). In Poland I developed a (luckily mild) UTI, then on the way home AF joined the pressure party on my pelvic area. But I have been continuing with the gym on the days I am…

I get that. On the upside, you don't get too heavy: You quite quickly reach a point of knowing when to look after yourself again. I am the same. I seem to have a few sweet spots (where maintaining becomes easier) along the way too: Around 164lbs is a low sweet spot, then 174lbs is a happy medium sweet spot. At my heavy…

@SparkSpringtime69 I had frequent leg cramps for a few days a month or 2 ago and it took me a good 1-2 weeks to fully rehydrate myself back out of that state. But I get your point with reducing alcohol intake. It's such an easy win, isn't it?

Age: 36 (almost 37) Height: 5'10" (178cm) Starting Weight 22nd Aug '22: 188.2lbs (13st 6.2lbs / 85.36kg) 26th Aug: 185.8lbs A 2.4lb drop. Whilst that will mostly be water weight, it is a little boost and I do feel better. I can do this!

@SparkSpringtime69 Dehydration causes cramps, and normally alcohol consumption and dehydration are friends. So if you do have a drink, alternate with water. I’ve been for an almost 7k walk tonight. I work 2.5hrs from home 2 days a week and it is lovely around here. Sadly the pub kitchen was shut when I got back so dinner…

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm feeling the intuitive eating @Antiopelle. Have done far too much of that myself :D . I think my weigh ins are going to depend on what suits me. I am away from home Tue/Wed or Wed/Thu every week anyway, and I travel a bit more for this job too. So a morning at home after a toilet visit seems…

Hi Everyone! I'm back again again. Life always makes things harder, doesn't it? I stood on the scales today after actively avoiding it for months. Heaviest I've ever been. Only by 2lbs, but still. 188lbs at the moment, which puts my BMI at 27. I changed jobs, my partner has gone through a tough medical time (bulging discs…

Just noticed no March thread so took the liberty to create one. Mardi without the Gras - Accountability Thread

This month was a write off...I have no idea how much I weigh right now, but a trip to Scotland (funeral, 5 days with my extremely unhealthy in-laws), a hen/bachelorette weekend (too much alcohol) and just general tiredness resulting in lazy and bad eating choices. Starting again today. Be good, meal prep, exercise. I miss…

I've not weighed in. Combination of no time and not having been to good in the last week. Still down versus the start of month though. February thread: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10855261/flying-in-to-february-accountability-thread#latest

@Go_Deskercise Shark Week? Ovulation? Sodium overload?

Said cupcake for colleague.

Yesterday was an UNHEALTHY day. It was a colleague's birthday and there were cakes galore (plus I baked some cupcakes for the birthday girl). Then tonight I'm going out for dinner and a gig. On a better note though, we went for our first interval run to try and build up to 5k again. 2 min alternating running/walking. I did…

@Go_Deskercise I love his face trying to catch the water from the sprinkler :D . He is gorgeous!

@k8richer Where are you? Canada or one of the northern states in the US? Looks beautiful!

First of all: Don't beat yourself up over it. It's happened, you can't change it, but you recognise it and you are seeking help (both for the eating and the medical thing). That the biggest hurdle. For the time being, only make small adjustments. I would suggest starting with breakfast as I think that may be…

@k8richer - Not the pics you are after I suppose, but I thought I'd share my bloat free bread anyway :D

Happy Tuesday! I had my first PT session of the year last night. A nice strength workout with a lot of deadlifts. I can feel my glutes today :# For the newbies: Weigh-ins vary a lot from person to person. In the past I have used an app (Happy Scale) to track my weight trend by weighing myself daily. Personally I found it a…

I think I'm mostly going to go with Friday weigh-ins. Having had a think, I think I'd like to ultimately go down to maybe the mid 160. Doesn't seem all that low, but my frame is medium/large, meaning I look odd if I get too thin. Stats Height: 5'10" (178.5cm) Age: 36 Starting weight: 182lbs (4th Jan 2022) Starting…

People say “You’re not fat! Have some cake!” It's the delusion of people. My BMI is currently 26.2 and I have gained about 4lbs over Christmas/New Year alone, and am 14-20lbs heavier than I was 2 years ago. Yesterday one colleague went "look at you, you have lost so much weight!". I know it was well intentioned, but it…

Hi Everyone! Long time no see - nice to see some familiar names pop up as well as new ones! 2021 has been my most sedentary year yet and December was all about the food (and drink). I'm on the heavy side (13st/82.55kg/182lbs) and want to re-introduce running. I did up my PT sessions to weekly (was bi-weekly) back in…

Height: 5'10" HW: 183lbs (Fri 24th March 2017) SW Jan 2021: 176.6lbs (1st Jan weigh in) Ultimate goal: Not sure. Starting with 164lbs as that has previously been my sweet spot. Jan goal: Below 174lbs 1st Jan: 176.6lbs 6th Jan: 175lbs Not a bad start to the month at all. Like Scotland, England is now in a full lockdown. I…

What an awful time the last week and a half has been. Honestly. Crisis at work (manageable) on top of a bit of a MH crisis (not so easily manageable, especially when it's not something you normally suffer from). On Friday night we ordered a takeaway and cracked open a bottle of red to share. One bottle became two. Today I…

Sorry for the silence. I have been weighing in but have been so busy I didn’t get round to posting last week and yesterday. So last week I was insanely bloated and weighed in at 175.2lbs. However, since then the number has dropped significantly and yesterday I was back down to 171.2, followed by this morning a pleasant…

A slow start but given that shark week is due any day now I will take the half a lb as a strong win. Gutted the weather has turned though, it’s going to make runs a bit trickier to plan. Height: 5'10" HW: 183lbs (Fri 24th March 2017) SW Sep 2020: 174.2lbs (16th Sep weigh in) Ultimate goal: Not sure. Starting with 160lbs…

Thanks for the feedback on strong curves! It's something I've been interested in but never actually tried, but with my current reluctance to go back to the gym (because UK COVID numbers are growing rapidly) I thought now may be a good time. We have a proper weight bench and adjustable dumbells at home, so we're not low on…

Hello again. So I started the July thread after a long absence and then promptly disappeared again. Mind simply just not in it, as much as I wanted it to be. This week I've started logging again, and food really has been my biggest downfall. And finding time with work to log on to the forum is challenging as generally I…
