I've a couple of things that spring to mind...firstly in the £shop (I suppose the same as a $ shop in america) basically a shop where everything costs £1..a woman went up to the cashier for a price check on something!! Also...at work every day customers ALWAYS ask where the toilet is..i just say over there where the bright…

I have cartilage damage in one of my knees due to years of playing field hockey but it's by chance I've discovered that barefoot running doesn't affect me. You adapt a different running style when you run barefoot, more on your toes

I find I can run barefoot with no impact on my knees. If I run in shoes my knees suffer. I have knee issues so it's working great for me

We too have different names for people from different areas of England..londoners are cockney...liverpool are scousers(amongst other things!!) Newcastle are geordies. Birmingham are brummies etc..when I've been in america and they hear the English accent they always say 'are you from london'..not are you from England!

Driving on the opposite side of the road caught me out once!..in LA..driving back to the airport I drove up a 5 lane highway the wrong way! ..luckily it was 4am and no traffic around so I managed a u turn. Its easier when it's busy and you have cars to follow!

I don't think there's a wrong or right here..i just find it really interesting. I love the American way, it's my favourite place in the world and the people are great (awesome!). I just love how we mean the same but how different it can seem! Definitely no right or wrong..this thread wasn't meant to be about 'proper'…
