Joined MFP in May 2017 5'1 SW 130 CW 123 GW 105 (secret GW 98 >:) ) Daily calories: 1500~1600, fasting one day a week Biggest challenge: my sweet tooth :# Feel free to add me !

I didnt said 1200 cal, it's 1200 plus exercise cals, depending on my activity level. My avg is 1600 cals per day
-
Overeating after fast was also my challenge at the beginning, now I am trying to break the fast at around 9ish, no much time left for binge eating before bed  so it is pretty much under control now
-
5'1, 123lb. I am eating avg 1600 cals per day when I am not fasting, and has been losing around 0.5 to 1lb/wk since I started. I personally can't do 16:8 everyday, I am a hopeless snacker
-
That's sound like exactly what I am doing - having one zero cals day per week, the rest at maintenance rate (based on MFP). Why this is not IF? I am confused now. I am only 5"1 with a very small frame though :p
-
Guess It's like a full reboot of the body. What kind of IF you have been practicing? :)
-
OMG is this the new trend? To see how long you can go without eating. This is not IF.[/quote] :D It will be a yearly cleanse kinda thing, if my body is ok to do that. Right now I will stick to my one day per week fasting plan, since I am still new at this.
-
For me, IF is a very effective method to manage my food intakes. I fast one day a week, and the rest of week I eat 1200cal + all exercise cals, no struggle with food cravings.
-
Interesting! I will probably try a 3-4 days fast after Christmas season.
-
Thanks for the info on metabolic rate. I will probably try 36 hours next time, as long as it doesn't effect my sleep!
-
I did something more research, pretty much agree with all above. My binge eating probably was induced by eating a load of high carb foods right after fasting. Will try some food high in protein and fat.
-
Thanks all! Lean protein seems the way to go :)

Go to "steps" and change Fitbit as your tracker
-
70% or 85% dark chocolate Homemade soda : Soda water + stevia + a splash of Pomegranate juice
-
That's my go to meal when I am lazy
-
A boiled egg 70-80 cals PB2(12g) + yogurt (50g) 70 cals
-
I am using Fitbit to track my movements, guess that's why. Thanks All!

Thanks guys. I am eating almost 100% of my exercise cals right now, will cut down to 50% and adjust from there.
