  • Yes and no. If I forget to weigh a handful of spinach or like a lettuce leaf, I'm not going to stress it. But they do still have calories and some more than others. A banana can easily be over 100 calories, forget to do that x 7 and thats an extra 700 calories in the week just from a seemingly innocent banana.
  • My lobes are 1 1/8th inches stretched and I've lost 100+ lbs, my ears are the same as before lol
  • Need to go shopping but trying to eat up odds and ends, so 3 eggs in a tortilla with spinach and salsa + 2 cups of coffee
  • Yes and I so wish I didn't haha. I was a size 14 before getting pregnant with my second and I had given away all my 16+ clothing. Not only would I have had to buy less during my pregnancy but now I'm sitting at an 18 and have to buy a few new things. If your not planning anything major you'd likely be safe, keep an outfit…
  • I started at 360+ (I didn't have a scale that weighed higher than 300 and this was my highest known weight at the doctors, it was likely a bit higher) and was down to 205 before getting slack and then getting pregnant with my second baby :) I'm at 250 right now and am going to get down to 145 ish in the next few years. :)…
  • If you workout 5-6 days a week, B is better I find. I rather have the same amount of calories to eat a day, then worry about the number on my HRM all the time. Plus its nice to still get to eat the same number of calories on my rest day. It all evens out. Of course you can adjust. My TDEE was a bit higher than the…
  • Food is deeply intertwined with emotions for me. For example, one very rainy day in 9th grade it was pouring and my mom ran out of the house with a towel so we wouldn't get soaked from the 1 minute walk from bus stop to my house. She made pasta and meatballs that day and it was a very comforting day. SO now every (and I…
  • I haven't reduced my calories yet as I am 5 weeks postpartum but have been logging for a few weeks to see where I fall most days. I've been doing 16:8 for a few weeks now and compared to the weeks that I wasn't eating in a window I am eating less. I don't know why it never occurred to me sooner to eat less but bigger meals…
  • I'm not very hungry until noon, sometimes later, and I like to be full when I go to bed. So for me I just do 12-1 and 8-9 as my cut off. I am full (but not overly) by the time I go to bed. By the time I get hungry I don't have long to go.
  • I like TDEE better. It amounts to almost the same either way, but when I have to wear a HRM, I end up caring more about the calories burnt than exercise its self.
  • I wish spot reduction worked haha. Losing body fat is the only way to really remove the tummy. Core work is nice but burns very little calories and you'll find strength training to be more effective than actual crunches.
  • There is a thread on here you can find via google for home made greek yogurt that gives a good break down. Basically there are like 60 calories in a cup of whey from milk.
  • Berries will go bad quicker if you wash them or add extra moisture before hand. I put mine on paper towel, uncovered in a vented container and then rinse right before eating. Mine tend to last 5 or so days if no one eats them right away. It also depends on your store. A few stores here are HORRIBLE for rotating produce. My…
  • Fasted or not seems to be based on preference. I used to workout fasted if it was cardio or HIIT because I would feel like my food was a lead ball in my belly during. But for lifting if I did it fasted I would have to lift a fair bit lighter than I normally did. I currently do IF so I eat around 12pm until 8pm. I would do…
  • The worst one that I logged was a year and a half ago. It was 12k calories, in a matter of hours. It started out because I wanted a cinnamon bun from the bakery near my house. But I had gone like a month without eating "junk" food so I didn't want to get one. I basically ate a weeks worth of "clean" meal prep, then all the…
  • I was 350+ lbs when I was 21. I got down to 205 with a pregnancy in there. I am again at 250 after my second pregnancy, a month ago. I have 80 lbs to go to my first goal, maybe 110 lbs total. It seems very daunting when you think of the big picture. But when you think of it in smaller amounts like 10 pound goals, it…
  • fitnessblender! I live in a small village without a gym. I honestly never would have gotten into weights or doing more than walking without them <3.
  • If I'm cooking a meal, I'll jot it down as I go, then log after its done and I've figured out portions. Otherwise I have a good memory and my meals aren't often too complicated. I also tend to do things in like grams (50g carrot, 50g spinach) etc, so its easier.
  • To drop carbs. I've lost like a whole person in weight and I did so eating just over half of my macros in carbs, thank you.
  • At the start of my weight loss, 30DS was the first real workout aside from walking I did. I could only do the first week though and just did it over and over, killer on the knees. I use it now from time to time as a gauge to see how far I've come. I was dying the first time I did it and the last time I did it, it was a…
  • 4 weeks pp, rcs. Not reducing calories until 6 weeks pp. I gained 45 lbs with my son and have only lost 15 lmao. I lost the 35 I gained with my daughter with no effort by now so thats a bit sucky. Very excited to get back to everything. Right now I'm just trying to be honest with how many calories I'm eating rn.
  • I had this broccoli type salad once, it was broccoli, lemon, grilled chicken, quinoa, garlic and a balsamic dressing. It was 800+ calories. So I go, thats silly, I can make it the same at home for less calories. And I could have if I reduced the portion size (its actually a decent meal but back then I was on very little…
  • I have lost and gained weight back many, many times but I keep learning and adapting each time. I got down to 205 from 360, with a pregnancy in between. I got pregnant with my second at 215 and got back up to 265. I had a normal sized baby (My first was almost ten pounds, two weeks early + I carried a lot of extra water…
  • 40?! If thats you in your avatar I wouldn't have guessed more than 25-28. WOW. I'm reducing calories in two and a bit more weeks. I was 324 when I had my daughter and got down to 205 in the 3 years after her birth. I got pregnant with my son (around 215 then), who I just had 3 weeks ago, and got up to 264 again. I honestly…
  • Mine is a really good pasta meat sauce with 1/2 a serving of whole grain pasta and a butt ton of zoodles. I get every macro, complex carbs, and a LOT of volume from the zoodles. I also tend to use beef vs turkey as it feels more indulgent.
  • When I was 350+ pounds, yes I did. I would be sweating and my heart would be beating like mad whenever I did a full clean (scrubbing, changing sheets, laundry, washing walls, etc.) Once I got around 250 ish I stopped.
  • Weight training helps, but for me, the only way my bingo wings would totally leave is if I had skin removal surgery.
  • I get 52 grams of protein every morning just from eggs and egg whites, my calorie goal is a few hundred smaller than yours and it easily fits! Greek yogurt is stupid pricey where I live (7 dollars for 4 servings) but you can make your own as well with whole milk and a bit of yogurt as a starter so thats cool. Cottage…
  • OP, its likely that low cal worked for you before because you had a higher TDEE. Keto is likely working for you now because protein and fat tend to be the most filling macros, thus your okay on a lower calorie amount. Where as when you did low cal recently, you likely stayed away from most fats as they are more calorie…
  • My SO has a lot of joint pain and collagen seems to be helping him, it was recommended to him by his primary.
