  • I'm not sure I understand the question? But I weigh in once a week, same day/time every week.
  • I like how in your after pic, your sweater is so much thicker and yet you look so much thinner! Amazing job!!! Def some motivation on this Sunday night!
  • I think hummus is revolting. Even if Halo Top was zero calories and given to me for free, I'd pass on it.
  • Not really a good pic in my opinion.. she doesn't really look "fat". I mean it doesn't show anywhere, not even her face. Maybe it's cause she's sitting down? I def have found a lot more motivation from people on this forum.
  • 1) If I crave something, I will make sure to budget it into a meal. Not depriving myself has been the biggest success for me. 2) Stop doing daily weighs ins but rather weekly so that I don't go crazy. 3) Only eating when I'm hungry and no more snacking constantly cause I'm bored. 4) It's ok and understandable to go off…
  • I'm curious - what makes regular water so hard to drink?
  • Nope. I drink a large coffee every morning and it holds me over till lunch time so I'm doing intermittent fasting but not on purpose. I eat if I'm hungry but I'm not a big breakfast person to begin with. Coffee has never hindered my weight loss and I drink it with cream and sugar too.
  • Honestly if it's just once a month and you are consistent the rest of the month, go crazy, just don't weigh yourself when you get home or the day after. I have a cheat meal 1-2 times a week whenever I calorie count and it never affected my overall progress. I get that we're all trying to lose weight, but still gotta live…
  • I'm also looking for shortcuts too! I was at Costco the other week and didn't see the prepackaged ones that are already boneless? Where did you find that?! I've always thought to myself how I would eat more rotisserie chicken if they weren't a full chicken in the package!
  • I do overnight oats mixed with water and yogurt. In the morning I add either a banana or handful of strawberries. Always super filling!
  • What is Wegmans cheese sauce? How's the taste? How many rotisserie chickens did you buy? Sorry for all the questions, looks really good. Gave me some motivation to meal prep as well!
  • I've tried keto before for a month and was miserable the entire time. I was never full, always craving things, and constantly irritated. It was too much work to try and cut out carbs or substantially minimize it because there are A LOT of foods that are off limits. Counting calories is the only thing that has worked for me…
  • Happy birthday and enjoy the yummy foods! Birthday calories don't count, if anyone forgot to mention it to ya!
  • One thing I've learned during my many attempts to lose weight and the one time I was successful - eat whatever you want as long as you're within your calorie limit. If you really crave something, make room for it to fit into your meal plan - some substitutes and tweaks could reduce a lot of calories. My bowls at Chipotle…
  • Update: Purchased it today and the lady packed all of the containers to the BRIM with chicken. Man was it good! So glad I went for it, the meal was extremely tasty and satisfying! Can't wait for tomorrow's dinner already! Might even have some for lunch  A week's worth of dinner prepared for less than $40. Can't…
  • Yeah, that's why I'm looking at other restaurants too and looking for recommendations. I think with any meals (even if you cook them yourself), there needs to be some variety in there from week to week. I will say though, I do have fruits and other proteins budgeted into breakfast/lunch as well. Going to see how fast I get…
  • 2 lbs a week is actually about the average that I've lost before when I lost 20 lbs. That weight loss goal is doable for me to feel satiated because I can't still eat a large amount if it's somewhat healthy food. Have about 40 lbs to lose but have never reached a point of needing to lose less than 20 lbs, will re-examine…
  • It's actually spending time buying groceries and prepping to cook it all is what I don't like. Everytime I eat out with friends, I spend $20 min on a meal, and so $6-7/meal isn't too bad to me especially since I'm very easy going when it comes to breakfast/lunch. I know I want this to be a life style change, but have a…
  • Thanks, definitely something to think about! The teriyaki chicken is grilled so I'm not too worried about that. If I do decide to order other entrees, I'd be worried about extra calories now that you've mentioned it. Will probably just stick with the greens and teriyaki chicken if I decide to make this an ongoing thing!…
  • I'm joining a bit late but seeing that we have 7 weeks left, I want this to keep me accountable! The hardest part about this is that holidays are coming up and that means food galore both at work and home! Need to stay focused. CW: 159.8 GW: 145 Final GW: 120 W10 10/6: 159.8 (I started off at 165.4 two weeks ago) W11…
  • A nice stubble on his face, nice chest/arms, smile. A sweet and genuine guy is also my weakness cus it's SO rare.
  • Strawberries
  • @Hip_to_be_square My friend just got engaged after 4-5 months of dating her boyfriend. I think it's fast but I couldn't imagine her with any other guy. They're basically perfect for each other. This whole situation is making me lose my appetitie, so at least I know I can stick to my diet for the next few weeks at the very…
  • This is too funny, LOL! I'm hurt now but I also have to admit, I've been a pain in the butt to deal with as well. He told me that it was like pulling teeth with me sometimes because I don't open up easily. I've made this guy cry several times and he's a tough cookie and never cries. Thanks everyone! I'm looking ahead and…
  • Thanks! It feels surreal, because I didn't want the relationship to end but I wasn't willing to bend enough for him so it had to end. It's just so hard to find a good guy these days it seems! I'm happy it all worked out for you! My social circle is pretty small and I don't go out of my way to meet people, which makes it…
  • Yeah, I'm almost certain this was it. He wanted to make strides with our relationship and I kept pushing back. It hurts because it still feels so new and he told/showed me all sorts of things that is now diminished in my head because of how quickly he's moving. Two weeks after we broke up he came crying to me cause he…
  • Thank you so much for the insight, Melissa. You were right on point - I was starting to doubt everything we had because what's the point of loving someone knowing that it could possibly not be real? I care for him a lot, I hope he's not rushing into that relationship and making a lifelong decision that quickly. But I know…
  • Honestly, it came down to being too lazy to buy/cook/prepare food. Life has been extremely busy for me up until recently, so it felt like a chore doing all those things. Easier to just drive up to a window and have food handed to me within minutes.
  • It really does boil down to calorie deficit though.. that's why they say you can eat anything as long as it's 1200 cals a day in order to lose weight. I'm using 1200 cals as an example because it's what most people default to on MFP based on their stats, including myself. I could eat 1200 cals worth of snicker bars a day,…
  • I think you should visit the recipes section of the forums to get some ideas of tasty foods that are healthy. It took me a long time to get to the point of enjoying what I eat during a "diet", because at the end of the day, it's a lifestyle change you need to adapt to and learn to love. I still eat all the things I enjoy,…
