  • The best approach for me was not to try to make something fit into the framework. If I really wanted it, I just had it. It might mean I was less flexible during the day to accommodate the drink I had. But alcohol has carbs. Champagne tends to be slightly lower, as does red wine. But I don't think any of it can be called…
  • Absolutely talk to your doctor. What is okay for some is not for others.
  • There are a couple of things that stand out to me here. 1/2 Cup is a serving with 3.5 servings per container. That's roughly a 12 oz size container, which isn't that tiny. Not that that is a bad thing. It sounds like you got 3 servings out of it which is probably what most of us would get. Now, here's the thing with…
  • I don't know where you started so that amount may be okay if it's being supervised. But average safe weight-loss is 1-2 lbs per week. That would be MAX 24 (ish) lbs in 3 months. 60 might be too much too fast. I might consider scaling back the speed. Hair loss can be a symptom of malnourishment.
  • I lost about 30 lbs in the 5-6 mos before my wedding doing keto. I didn't crave carbs as long as I did full fat dairy. If I really wanted something I had it, but I didn't want it most of the time. Our keto-friendly snack was heavy cream and some berries. But even that wasn't daily. Not even weekly. What happened you ask?…

  • I had to think about it but I think there are times that I do this inadvertently. There were 2 days last week where I did it but it was because I just didn't want to coax myself out of bed in time to do breakfast lol. But I recall those two days were not bad at all. I may make a conscious effort this week to try that out.
  • Welcome!
  • Try giving yourself permission to NOT hold the guilt longer than a day. Remember that you felt awful, but don't beat yourself up over it. Everyone falls off the wagon once in awhile. It's getting back on that's key. :-)
  • That's where people need to be reminded that there isn't one way to do it. I also lost a bunch of weight when I cut carbs and if I have 10 carbs I may as well have 200. That's just the way my body seems to work. But I know plenty of people who couldn't have any at all and plenty of people who didn't really have to watch…
  • I literally can't even with Spanx after a few hours.
  • DUMBFOUNDED.
  • That three day weekend totally threw me off. Hopefully this coming week will be better.
  • Hey me too! I was born and raised in Hudson Falls (though rarely admit it :-) )
  • I need to read this. It's been on my list for ages. My book is yielding results! I gutted a closet this weekend. I have a rather large box of donations, some stuff going to consignments and a lot more room in that closet. :-)
  • Hi to all of our new members!! The membership exploded today, I love it! Thank you for sharing your stories with us. More than one definitely resonated with me. Thanks so much for joining!
  • We've done Mexico recently so we won't go to Cabo or PV this time. Hawaii was on the list. Costa Rica is the likely plan. They had me at Sloth Institute.
  • I should do some of this at home. There isn't a class too close by (and I pay for an unlimited Pure Barre membership so I can't add anything else $$$!). But I could totally do some of this at home. Thanks for the tip @bellaesprita!
  • Before my back injury I was doing Barry's Bootcamp 2-3X/week as my cross training for running. I loved it. I actually get pretty good cardio from barre. But I would love to be able to run again.
  • Welcome! Thanks for joining us!

  • I feel you. I will only eat full fat dairy. I don't crave it if I just have the full fat yogurt or sour cream or whatever. You're totally right the light subs aren't the same. Their actually higher in sugar to make up for lack of flavor in most cases. No one is taking my coffee. Non-negotiable :-).
  • I just started The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing. The author is a Japanese organization consultant. It's very zen-feng-shui-like. I live in a TINY San Francisco apartment if we're going to continue to live here harmoniously, I need a new organizational system lol.
  • Hi everyone! Thanks for joining! I love all the pet parents. I am the epitome of cat lady. #sorrynotsorry

  • With regard to my weight, my height is very much in my favor. My bro and I are the tallest on both sides. If I were the avg height of the women in my family it would be a very different picture for sure.
  • Welcome! Thanks for joining!! Did I mention already that I'm also tall? 5'10.
  • OH HELL NO. lol
  • I've never seen Mama Lupe's! We just get the Mission brand. We can get AMAZING local tortillas, but honestly we both like the texture of these better for wraps and stuff. They don't tear as easily.
  • It's definitely interesting. But I wouldn't pay for it.
  • I won't hike in the mountains in NorCal from Sept-December. Fall is tarantula mating season and I'm told you can't walk two feet without coming across them on the trails. Nope nope nope nope nope nope nope.
  • If you are able to do some things like planks, I would also suggest barre in addition to swimming (or to change it up).
  • I cannot live without cheese. That was one of the things that made keto tolerable. I don't really need a lot of it. Like tonight for example I made a simple chicken salad- chicken breast, some chopped onion, celery, parsley, pepper, and some dried herbs. I put it on a low-carb tortilla with basically just what I could…
