@SummerSkier In the great scrambles to find alternatives to the Newsfeed users explored a bunch of the alternatives. For me the MFP food diary is the most significant part. I tried an alternative food diary app "MacroFactor" and it works for me. It's such a better fit, that that app has been a part of me recommitting to…

I love the bear photos when I see them (on tv) I always wonder how or if they get enough food. @Mari33a Canadians are sinewy so perhaps a couple, but an American usually will get a bear through the whole winter. :) 🤣

I ran 2.76M at 12'04. A nice run, I didn't feel leadfooted. Pretty perfect weather...sorry to hear about all you heat dome (and NZ ice dome) runners.

I ran 3.08M at 13'25. It was a set of intervals. This training plan is starting it's taper. I don't really need it, but why not take the taper and enjoy it.

That's a world class fisheye shot of people relaxing at the water's edge. Good luck with the jetlag and all the best on your family holiday.

@klrogahn2106 Welcome back. I was born and raised there. I often wish I was still there, I'd offer to meet up for workouts….

Hi @andrefcluz , I don't understand either. It is such a basic non-complex piece of discrete data. MFP 'reading' a piece of "weight" data seems as if it is the lowest hanging fruit. How could there be anything proprietary or technical challenges about importing weight. Weight (and calories) is the most important metric for…

I ran 4.58M at 13'02 out at my favorite lake run. It is a perfect five miles around with no cars or intersections. For you "I love the quiet crack of dawn to finish my run before I start my day" types. I am on holiday so last night I told myself I was going to run first thing in the morning. This morning I ultimately began…

@SummerSkier [Are your shoes new? My shin always starts to bother me when the foam wears on my shoes. Even after only a couple hundred miles or months (I think both can be the issue distance or age).] I'm thinking about this too. I bought two different pairs of new shoes about two months ago and decided to run in one and…

Getting dumped has always preceded a nice weight drop.

I ran 2.31M at 13'49. I dogged it. It was hot, I was feeling dehydrated, and I felt a shin twinge in my ancient stress fracture site. I did make it through the workout though.

@quilteryoyo That is a good looking car. Have fun!
-
That's my goto @John772016 I put on my race gear and layer over it with bunch of stuff for donation. At the start of the first KM I strip off extra stuff as needed and leave along the side of the route. Old, worn, cheap garden gloves for the win!

I ran 3.00M at 12'57, it was intervals. Sorry to see the end of the nice weekend. Have a good week everyone.
-
I ran 3.76M at 13'23 out at Mission Bay around Sea World. With the late sunset times and it's starting to warm up, it is getting nice around here.

It really is hard to answer Yet, @AlphaHowls you did a beautiful job of it. Thanks.

Upon sleeping on it, and reading some of your replies to the @kgirlhart question, I have mine. It goes back to an experience at age seventeen. I enjoy athletics and competing at sport and am not particularly gifted. I'm plain average height, stout, and have only moderate eye/hand coordination. In a school class of…

Dang, I had to come right after @kgirlhart 's provocative question....I have to think about it for a bit, but I come back around to it. I ran 1.73M at 12'06, it was more intervals.

Has there been any positive news with your BP after having some success with weightloss?

Modern medicine doesn't find Mounjaro controversial. Nobel prizes all around. I'm very happy to hear you are making progress. I wish you continued good success. Today in big financial news a prominent analyst downgraded their rating on McDonald's citing much lower consumer demand as a result of GLP-1 availability. It's…

In my experience I can take on humility and wisdom, or my body will foist it upon me. We get to choose. Choose wisely amigo. :)

I ran 2.75M at 12'55, it was a couple of intervals. I'm sorry to hear of your loss @AlphaHowls I'm wish the best for you and your family.

I ran 2.89M at 13'52 after work tonight, out at the lake.
-
That's wonderful @natts_journey I hope you come back to inspire us all along your journey to healthiness.
-
it's not showing my stress levels - which could be because I "reset" it, I guess. I can't so explicitly but some things like stress level or fitness level etc don't give readings until five or ten days of data is gathered. I hope it gets back to normal, considering giving it a week or two before you jump on buying a…

What a good story @tinatc26 What's the latest?

I'm so sorry @daria0919 to hear you are dealing with another foot injury. And another boot. Get well soon.

Dude, Franz, you join a running group, do not post any runs, and in two days dismiss it as unwelcoming? MFP is a free site, and a million threads are running, with initiative you can find exactly want you want here This running thread? Dunno.

I ran 1.89M at 12'38 tonight. The plan called for "intervals" so I picked up a lttle. It felt good.
