I've moved around a few places across England, I am currently in Kent though where I am doesn't deserve the 'garden of england' tag that Kent recieves.

I've been in and out of the running challenge over my decade of MFP. Its always been super supportive.

Another long run, replicated the 11km again and at 10km was another minute faster.

This is around 10mins slower than what I used to run 10km at. Still being careful.

@SummerSkier Good news you are on the mend. Those ankle and knee injuries can get to be real problems. Hopefully you've got through the worst of it.

    Happy running everyone!

    @John772016 great race!

    @quilteryoyo sweat r us!

Friday was a recovery day so did a short 4k. Saturday headed into the hills for a mountain view trail run. A grouse wanted to collect a toll but I didn't have any worms for it. This morning did a mid distance for a back to back.

    Cute Grouse

    127.43/165 miles completed for September

I ran 10 miles today. It was almost 9 am by the time I got out, and while it wasn't too hot starting out, it was too hot by the time I finished. I know I have run in hotter temps, but the last two miles today were just tough.

Congratulations on your race @John772016 I can't imagine running in a race that big. Finishing in the top 6% is awesome! I am going to switch up my lights and see if anyone notices. Not only can you change the colors, you can also change the flashing pattern. And I mentioned the cross country kids to my sister. She works in the office at the elementary school and a couple of the high coaches come over there to teach PE. She is going to talk to them about it.

I'm glad you are feeling better @SummerSkier and were able to get out for a run.

Great running @kgirlhart . Nice that you are concerned about the HS kids. Maybe you could call the HS and talk to the track coach. Just tell him/her that you are a runner and have seen them running in the dark and they are hard to see. Reflective tape would be easy to get and not too expensive. Looks like you have it taken care of.

Thanks @tarun_yadavA and great speedy Sat run on your part.

@Zaxa2021 You did great. 12 miles is nothing to sneeze at, regardless of the pace.

    Great running @yirara , @chris_in_cal (glad you are feeling better), @username301 , @WarmJellyfish

Sounds like an amazing race on all fronts @John772016 ! Congrats on your placement. Good luck with the nerve pain….and not making your physiotherapist mad. It's interesting about the colors. You are probably right about it being what people are used to seeing.

Glad you are feeling better @SummerSkier and had a nice run.

Sorry you twisted your ankle @yirara . I hope it isn't too bad.

Hahaha @chris_in_cal - morning at 12:30 pm. You're my kind of morning person. 🤣

    Posting two walks.

Yesterday morning, I got up early enough to get in a mile walk to keep the streak going before heading to GA for my great niece's wedding. I walking the driveway in my PJs. LOL

I drove to GA, had a couple of hours to rest in the hotel and then headed to the wedding. It was short and sweet with a Mexican buffet reception. I'm glad I went and got to see some kin folks I haven't seen in a while.

This morning, 9 family members met for breakfast at Cracker Barrel and then I drove home. I didn't sleep the best last night, so after I unpacked the car I tried to nap. I don't think I ever fell asleep. I got up and went out for my normal Sunday driveway walk.

I'd hoped my ankle would be fine again today, but it's not. Overall not too bad and I can walk carefully, but not great. To be honest, I've never sprained my inner ankle! How do you do that from compression?!?

Good Morning. I may no longer be Covidy but my head is still really stuffy. Butt…. I got out for a 1.25 mile run because honestly I think it helps to clear that stuff "out".😷😷 Not sure I will make my 120 total miles walking and running this month but decided that it would be more helpful in the long run to just stay active. up to 63 running and 31 walking to date.

@quilteryoyo how was the LOGO on the cracker barrel…..🤨😂🤪

We are here with another week of possibilities!

Last week was ok. I definitly overate (ever heard of a cromuffin?!? OMG!) and skipped Friday run b/c I was hungover. I have zero tolerance for alchohol and had 2 glasses of wine with dinner on Thurs. Friday I felt absolutely terrible and left work an hour early.

This week looks to be busy but as long as I keep up my willpower, I should get everything done. No couch rotting! I think we might even have a day of sprinkles as well.

I hope your ankle heals quickly @yirara .

Great run @tarun_yadavA . The buffet was nothing to write home about. It was good, but just the basics….chicken, beef, rice, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, etc.

@SummerSkier I'm glad you are no longer CoVid-y and hope the stuffiness goes away quickly. As for the Cracker Barrel, it was still the one we all love..not updated. 😁

@CMorning99 I never heard of those. When I looked it up, it is spelled cruffin…I'm assuming that is the same thing. Looks delicious. Wine goes straight to my head too. Look like you are being consistent. That's what it takes! No couch rotting is a good thing.

Great running @WarmJellyfish . That is a cute grouse and the view is spectacular.

Went to bed early and woke up late feeling wiped out, so changed my interval run to an easy 5km. It did feel a bit harder than usual, I might be coming down with something, equally I'm told I say this about once a month.

    Good morning!

@quilteryoyo @tarun_yadavA Yes, it seems the correct conjuction is cruffin LOL. Most devine things. To made it an added challenge, they are delivered fresh via coffee truck to the front of my office. That with their awesome chai latte…my office cubby turns into my happy place LOL.

@AlphaHowls So sorry you are going through this. You will be ok, it is a hard journey but there is a light at the end. My mother passed very suddendly not too long ago and I was left with quite the clean up as well…I chose to do it all myself (only child) and wish I hadn't. Accept help and live in the moment/memories. And it is ok not to make decisions if you aren't ready. I wish I had saved more stuff I was unsure about and looked at it again with more clarity vs just sending it on it's way.

The calendar may say it is fall, but it is still summer in Texas. We hit 101°F yesterday and it is supposed to hit 102° today and then cool down some starting tomorrow. It was 81°F feels like 85° when I went for my run this morning at 5:45. I ran 6 miles as a tempo run. It went well despite the heat.

@SummerSkier I hope you feel better soon. I hate how it takes so much longer to feel better than it used too. What's that saying? "Growing old ain't for sissies." Too true.

So glad your ankle is okay @yirara !

    Big hugs @AlphaHowls .

Nice run @tarun_yadavA . I think you misunderstood about the wedding. It was this past weekend. All over and done with…and maybe the honeymoon too. I think the groom had to be back at work tomorrow.

@SummerSkier Sorry you had to back off again, but glad you are listening to your body. Hopefully you will be 100% in Oct! I don't know why you should have to tell people to get out of your space when they know you have been sick. No wonder it spreads around so much.

@username301 I hope you are just tired and not coming down with something. I seem to feel that way about once a month now too.

Love that your office cubby turns into your happy place in the mornings @CMorning99 !

That IS hot for the end of Sept @kgirlhart ! Great run despite that. We had a couple of warmer days too, but is supposed to cool down again beginning today - and a rainy week.

I ran 5 miles this morning. About 1.5 miles in, running friend B tripped on a median step-up but she landed softly and didn't hurt anything. Shortly thereafter, three police cruisers passed us and the first one broadcast "I'm proud of you all" over his loud speaker. Brought a big smile to our faces. Around mile 3.5, the skies opened up and it started pouring rain. Felt pretty good actually and then we got to try to dodge the standing water and cars for the rest of the run. All in all, a pretty good start to the day!

Sending you a big hug @AlphaHowls That's a lot to deal with. Sounds like good advice from @CMorning99

    55.55/80 mile goal

    Posting two days again.

Yesterday, I got up early and did a treadmill wun before heading into work. I walked 0.25 miles at 3.8 mph for warm up and then did a run/walk of 1/1 min at 4.5-5.2/4.0 mph, 1/1/1 min at 5.2,5.3/5.0/4.0 mph, cool down walk quarter mile each at 4.0 and 3.8 mph. It wasn't too bad. Avg pace for the run was 13:36 min/mile. Avg HR was 117 with a max of 143 bpm.

After work, I met a friend for tennis. We had fun. Scores were 6-3 and 5-5 when we quit for darkness.

I worked all day today, opening, which means I had to get up at 4:30 so I could leave home by 6 to get to work at 6:30. You all know this is NOT my favorite shift and I didn't sleep well last night. So, by the time I got home, I was tired and hungry. I went out for a slow driveway wun. Avg Pace was 15;03 min/mile. Avg HR was 123 with a max of 143 bpm.

I'm going in at 6:30 again in the morning. Wish me luck. Two days in a row is pushing it. Coffee gets me through the morning.
