    Woof - what a month! That week of fatigue really set me back. No weight loss this month either, but TBH I didn't really try

    @chris_in_cal I apprecate your sense of humor :)

    My Trainwell coach is setting up some new routines for me and I need to write down my WOG'ing goals. I spent a bit of time reading about my calf issue, many years ago I saw a PT and massage therapist about my calf that would very occasionally flare up…they both agreed it is the soleous; so I suspect it is the same issue. I have added the weighted calf machine before a run and it recreates the burning so maybe a strength issue. My hip is still locked and not really responding to stretching.

    I hope everyone has good long weekend and see you in Sept!

    @Teresa502 ahhh yes makes sense now. Thanks

    @chris_in_cal funny how I get my motivation 😂

    Weather here is being weird. Cold in the mornings, tee and shorts warm in the afternoon.

    flaccid, saggy, hypermobile leg muscles are prone to injury. Strong, harder muscles hold up better to running….that's what I got from this. Makes sense.

    My yoga teacher used to always say it was the super flexible students who tended to injure themselves.

    Sorry you had to shorten your run a couple of days ago @WarmJellyfish . You are beast for finishing that race after getting injured. I do like the medal.

    Congrats on reaching your monthly goal @kgirlhart .

    Awesome pictures @tarun_yadavA .

    Nice running @Mari33a and excellent improvement in VO2max.

    Maybe I need to do that @ContraryMaryMary . 🤣 My problem is that the ones I currently wear all the time are the only ones I have found that don't hurt my knee and legs. I overpronate. I'm sure there are others, but just haven't looked.

    Have a nice weekend @CMorning99 . You may not have met your goals, but you are still here and working on it, so I call that a win.

    Boys never grow up do they @tarun_yadavA 😅

    The weather has been very mixed but I’ve been able to avoid the rain all week. Tomorrow is forecast a washout so I pushed to hit 90 miles today. And if it is really wet I won't have to run 2moro. I've planned a rest day on Sunday. It would probably benefit me more to do some hamstring stretches tomorrow as I’m walking very stiffly when I first stand up to walk.

    Enjoy your holiday weekend!

    Nice runs @quilteryoyo, @Scott6255, @kgirlhart (congrats on hitting your goal!), @Teresa502, @WarmJellyfish (cool medal), @tarun_yadavA (beautiful pics, I'd hesitate entering the *kitten* brewery!; though its nice to see Kiddy Vidi, I've been told to visit it!), @Mari33a (congrats on the VO2Max increase! & also surpassing your goals!), @ContraryMaryMary (doesn't count, do it again with your watch 😉!), @username301, @yirara (congrats on hitting your goal!),

    I've never tried carbon plated shoes @Teresa502, as they're just a bit too pricey for me, though I've been looking at them for awhile & I keep looking!

    I know a couple of folks that use Nike Vaporfly's and love them but they run 1/2's & full marathons, which I don't. I was more interested in the ASICS but as I'm not a competitive runner (other than against myself) or planning a half/full marathon race, I didn't see the reason for the $$ outlay.

    When I was 'let go' from my last job, my staff & friends contributed to a 'GTFO' Gift Card for a local Running Store. They were very generous! I've purchased one expensive pair of shoes and will likely do another at some point. Maybe I'll splurge for a carbon plated one at some point.

    BTW, there are actually 'newer' super shoes out now. I was reading an article about them just a couple of days ago I think. A new world record was achieved with an elite runner in them, but they say 'not official' as the shoes haven't been reviewed/accepted as yet! Meaning you'll not see them on any races for awhile.
    If I remember where I saw the link I'll post it as a FYI for you guys, as it was an interesting read.

    Posting a couple days….

    27/08 - 8.88km / 5.52 miles
    28/09 - 0km - changed my rest day to 'Stationary Bike' day - for 25km (since Garmin thinks its the same as binge watching House of Dragons while siting on the couch; Garmin is happy I'm 'resting')
    29/09 - 10.44km / 6.49 miles

    Total = 156.84km / 97.46 miles (Goal - 161Km / 100 miles)

    Spent the Thursday thunderstorms inside but I declined a rest day and hopped on the stationary bike for 25km.
    Got up this morning to the coolest day this summer (10⁰ C / 50⁰ F)!
    Would've gone for a run but had a bunch of stuff to clear off schedule and wasn't free until after lunch.
    Still a very comfortable run, but not too much sun by the time I got out the door.

    @John772016 thanks!

    Quidi Vidi is nice! The Brewery is very picturesque too.

    As for D1 LDO. It's a town about 90 mins from St Johns. It has a big Hollywood type sign on a hill saying D1 LDO in bold white blocks. Woulda made for a nice and funny social media pic; but long way to go just for that (and a beer or three! {And besides, they have a D1 LDO Brewing Company in St Johns anyway } ).

    @John772016 Sadly the one in Annapolis (2 hours from me) isn’t under control yet. The woods ban was only lifted for a few counties, Halifax being one of them.

    You did great @tarun_yadavA . Safe travels home.

    Congrats on the 10K @angf0679 . That is a beautiful spot. Why was there a woods ban? You look great.

    Thanks for setting up September @AlphaHowls . I'm not sure how it got here so fast either.

    Nice running @username301 .

    Congrats on meeting your goal @John772016 !

    You did great getting in what you could @ContraryMaryMary ! Happy Spring.

    Nice runs everyone.

    Had a few days of jello legs. Decided to up the carb intake. Did a shake down 10k this morning while it was still cool. Let's see if they will hold up tomorrow. Garmin decided to bump up my max hr again by a couple of points.

    @SummerSkier

    LOL 60 to 0 is pretty easy.

    Yes, and what is hard, with our pride, ego, and delusions that we are 28 y/o is going from 0 to 59 gracefully.

    You are inspiring us by example. Here's to good health in September; 🍻

    Great running all

    Finished august 239 of 225kms. Messed up my maths somewhere.
    Today was a mish mash of wallks, runs, more walks. Totaled 22.5k. Heat training, bonk training, H2o deprivation training, time on feet training, no buying training. got to watch a parade tho, soo many people! wasn't expecting that support, brought tears to the eyes. On to sep now.
