British? Not so much. Most posters here do seem to reside in the British Commonwealth.

I ran 11 miles this morning. It was pretty hot again today. Fall is not here yet. But it was a good run. The last 3 or so miles were kind of tough, but I made it.

    That's a great pace on the 10K @Zaxa2021 . Congratulations.

That sounds like, and looks like, an amazing run @ContraryMaryMary !

Oh no @SummerSkier . Sorry to hear this. I do hope you have a mild case and the rest does your foot and knee good.

Great improvements @username301 . I think there are a couple of other Brits here - @tarun_yadava for sure and seems there is someone else.

@John772016 You did great on the 10K with all of those issues. It's amazing since there was the possibility that you wouldn't even be able to walk 6 years ago. That is an amazing story about Terry Fox. So sad that his cancer spread to his lungs and he didn't get to see what he started become such a success.

Great job @yirara . There is no shame in walking. I hope you were able to relax with a nice cold drink later.

    Great long run @kgirlhart .

Apparently, I didn't hit post last night, so here is yesterday's update.

    Great running everyone.
115 of 225 kms for the month.
Friday was a recovery day so A Walkin' We Will Go.
Saturday's planned long run became short as I tanked, bailed at 17.5k. Just didn't have the energy. Basically bonked. Need to work on fueling. Rested a bit (ok a lot) then made up another almost 2k after. Good to learn this run/stop/seize up/run again feeling.
Sunday was supposed to be a make up day for Saturday's short, but the left foot's arch decided it needed orthotics. Probably because I was babying the instep trying not to aggravate the arthritis. Sigh. Aging. Sleep last few nights has been horrible. HRV is dropping like a stone and RHR is climbing.

@John772016 from worried if I would be able to walk to running a 10k. Jeez dude, give yourself a pat on the back 😋 Here's a pat anyways, good job 😛

@Mari33a sorry to hear about your mom. Hope she is doing better.

Saturday evening at least was nice.

    Nice running @username301 .

@SummerSkier I hope you continue to feel better and don't go through the up and down cycles.

@Scott6255 I'm glad you calf is doing some better and hope you don't have to spend too much more time on the TM.

@CMorning99 Great job on the calorie tracking! I hope you both avoid getting the crud. Sounds like your wogging is coming along well. Yeah for getting your building permit. What a long ordeal that has been for you! I hope your power has come back on. Yes, I did the T-10 miler in FL for the last three years. I'm debating on whether I'm going to do it this year again or not. I had wanted to do it every year as long as I could, since I did the first one, but it's just so darn hot and really not as fun as I had hoped it would be. So, we shall see.

Lots of great activity over the weekend @Teresa502 ! Those hiking photos are awesome, but as I said on Strava, that would probably trigger my claustrophobia.

Great unintentional 6 miles @kgirlhart AKA running lady with lights! I love that. Did you win the queso contest? BTW, if you do have a good recipe, I'd like to have it. I've only tried to make queso dip once and it was horrible. LOL

I had intended to do a semi-long run this morning before my pest control guy got here, but he came earlier than usual AND then we talked longer than we should have, so I was short on time.

Feeling good! My Oura finally calibrated on my circaidian rhythm and said I am a rare early morning person with an ideal wake up time of 3:30 to 5:30 am. IDK, when I wasn't working and not waking up to an alarm, I generally woke up around 6:30…more a "morning" person. I do get up at 4:30 now for work…so I wonder how much it is based off of current habits vs actual biologics. I do agree I am a "early" morning person and feel my best.

@quilteryoyo There is a T-10 miler at Vandenberg and the highs are 70 degrees and fog <wink wink>

    Have a good one folks!

    Hey @CMorning99

There is a T-10 miler at Vandenberg and the highs are 70 degrees and fog

That's good to know. That is a remote and beautiful place for a run and the internet says it's free. Are you on the west coast too? Are you thinking about the run?

Monday was a recovery day so went walkabout. Tuesday was supposed to be a low zone training session that turned into tempo then became threshold. Why do my better runs come on a Tuesday instead of the weekend? Probably the dread of doing a long run… 🤨

@SummerSkier sorry you have a bug. Hope it gets better soon.

I love your comments @John772016 - and totally get where you’re coming from. And thank goodness for family that are willing to slap us upside the head when needed!

Thursday 10k for me this morning in awful wind. Fortunately the rain held off while I was out there.
