  • I didn't say I didn't think it was healthy? Did you completely ignore the rest of my post and read what you wanted to? I said THE REASON SODA IS CONSIDERED LESS HEALTHY THAN WATER IS BECAUSE IT HAS HIGHER SODIUM AND ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS. Clear enough for you now?
  • Someone who is extremely intelligent and sarcastic. Put that with blonde hair and I'm done. haha
  • There is about 18MG of sodium in 12 ounces of water. 40MG in 12 ounces of diet coke...
  • If it weren't for diet soda, I wouldn't have survived this long on my diet. Is it as healthy as water? No! there's sodium and artificial sweeteners in it. But it is very low- no calories. A bottle of coke zero has about 4 calories from the artificial sweetener but they're allowed to mark the calories as zero because…
  • This DOES work! It was getting close to my TOM and I couldn't stop thinking about warm chocolate chip cookies...So I pulled out my emergency dark chocolate (Hershey's special dark bar) and ate half of it. It was 100 calories, and so satisfying! I didn't even think about the cookies for the rest of the night.
  • Haha! I have this one really annoying piece of skin under my armpits. It’s SO GROSS and it drives me crazy. I wish it would go away but unfortaunely it hasn’t.
  • I’ve heard that Disney is the number one park when it comes to having big enough seats! You’ll be fine and have fun! Don’t stress about that all day and ruin your time
  • Depends on if you have a reasonable goal or not. If you’re trying to lose 50lbs in three months, it’s not going to happen. If you’re trying to lose 1-2lbs a week then of course MFP will calculate the calories you would need to eat daily to reach it.
  • I don't know if this helps, but I recently went to my doctor about an issue similar to this. Before I lost weight, my time of the month was extremely predictable. It came the same day every month, was pretty heavy, and lasted exactly 5 days. I went to the doctor because all of a sudden it got much lighter, would only last…
  • Wow I'm shocked by the replies. According to Livestrong, anything under 5000 is considered Sedentary. Anything between 5000 - 7499 is lightly active. Anything between 7500 - 10000 is moderately active, and anything over 10000 is considered very active. This makes sense to me as 10000 steps a day is 5 miles! Where did the…
  • 1. Yes 2. You can not "spot train" areas on your body because that's a myth. If you want to focus on your stomach and it makes you feel better, you can do crunches.
  • Now that you mention it, it does seem that sizes have changed over the past few years. I remember my senior year of high school (2009) I was 170lbs and a size 10. Now I am 200lbs and a size 10 at some stores. It's funny because size 10 and 170lbs was always my goal. I guess I need to adjust that a bit and keep the weight…
  • I get too obsessed with weighing every day, but I also get very curious. If I'm "feeling small" I get on randomly some mornings, but I only record the weight on Friday mornings. I do it Friday because I tend to eat a little worse on the weekends and don't want any beer or high-sodium foods to impact my numbers.
  • I have measuring cups and just measure the cooked rice that way. I believe white rice is about 200 calories per cup depending on the type. You can definitely fit it into your diet. Stay under your calories and eat what you like. I personally love white rice of all types. Jasmine, Basmati, sticky, and even the "minute rice"…
  • It's so difficult to lose or maintain weight when in a relationship with someone who doesn't take their health seriously. Even the men who are thin that i've dated most of the time are just naturally born that way and still lay around and eat chips and pizza while watching tv all night because they can without gaining a…
  • The MFP recommended goal for me was 1370 originally. I had to raise it to 1550 instead though. For some reason I felt like I was starving. I may lose a little slower because of it but it won’t make a huge difference in the long run and I don’t feel like binging every day now.
  • I love lemon and pepper. Definitely my favorite
  • Only you know what’s right for you. No one can tell you if what you’re doing is “wrong”. Although if you didn’t have a guilty conscious you wouldn’t be asking this question. Picture yourself if the role was reversed and a guy you were “dating” was also dating someone else. Would you be cool with that?
  • I know it may seem awkward but they should support your weight loss efforts. Get a little portable food scale and weigh everything. Save calories for that meal and enjoy yourself. Your life can’t stop because you’re eating healthy, so you have to find a plan that works with YOUR life!
  • I’ve done high protein diets before but it isn’t enough to simply cut carbs and eat high protein to lose weight, you have to do that in addition to meeting your calorie goal. Put your stats and your goals into MFP and they’ll calculate how many calories you need to lose weight. You can eat high protein foods if that’s what…
  • Wow!! Absolutely amazing work.
  • 1370 feels like nothing! lol. That was the initial goal MFP gave me but honestly it wasn't working for me. I raised my goal to 1550 daily and I still lost 3lbs this week. It's good enough for me! I did the math and eating 1550 daily vs 1370 results in losing about 1lb less per MONTH. So instead of losing 2lbs per week,…
  • Thanks! I'm really stressing over this menu as i'm a bit picky! I looked up the Pad See Ew and it looks like i'd enjoy it. The place i'm going to offers this with chicken, pork, or beef! This might be the route I take :D Also - I looked up the nutrition and it seems to be healthier than the "safe" option I was going with.…
  • I'm in a similar situation. I don't control what is made for dinner or the foods brought into the house I live in. When I walk into my kitchen I see nothing but chocolate chip muffins, potato chips, gummy bears, cupcakes and ice cream. It takes alot of will power, but I can't ask the rest of my family to buy foods that are…
  • I am a big sugar and creamer in my coffee type of girl too. I’ve tried the tea route as well, but most teas are either fruity and not what I’m looking for, or too bitter for me to enjoy. I did recently buy some green tea and didn’t hate it with a few Splenda packets though. I decided that I like my coffee way too much to…
  • I tend to go out to eat often on the weekends, and I also usually have a few drinks, so the weekends are worse for me as well. I tend to eat really well Sun-Thurs and "bank" some calories. Meaning if I'm 100 calories under my goal on Monday night, I can use them on Friday or Saturday. I always weigh myself on Friday…
  • Unless you plan on getting a salad without dressing, croutons, and cheese, that salad will probably have more calories than a meal would. Try and stick with proteins (steaks, chickens, fishes) that aren't deep fried. Get veggies as your side and you'll be fine. If a guy isn't attracted to you because of your weight, he's…
  • I just left Weight Watchers too! I wanted to try it but it just doesn't work for me. My biggest gripes with WW are the following: 1. It's not flexible enough for my lifestyle. I usually eat dinner with my family, regardless of what they may be having. They aren't always the healthiest, but I do try to make better choices.…
  • Wow! Absolutely stunning and amazing. You've really done fantastic. An inspiration to all of us :)
  • Of course it can be done on 1200 calories a day. That's the bare minimum for women, so yes, you SHOULD lose something.
