Happy to have some new motivated friends on MFP - add me :)

I only prefer faster cardio because I normally skip breakfast or am up quite early. I don’t burn any extra calories but I find that it sets me up for the day and making healthier food choices

That’s true! I sometimes probably overestimate my exercise calories so I’m not fussed on if I eat all my allocated calories. I’m trying to make my diet a bit healthier and weigh my foods to get it more accurate.

Absolutely, in fact it’s recommended to go slow. With the last few pounds you need to expect a very slow loss that may be interrupted by stalls and small gains. The smaller the amount to lose, the more it can be masked by water weight, hormonal issues, DOMs etc. Don’t freak out if you don’t lose one week or even gain.…

I used to be into my sugary high calorie mixes but found going for a low carb beer or vodka soda lime I was still able to enjoy nights out and not use my daily calories just on alcohol. Both of those drinks are 60-90 calories

Yes especially the first two to three days my cravings are constant especially regarding chocolate and white carbs

That’s great thankyou! I will try out cooking a bigger dinner so I have a few extra meals for that week :)

I actually wasn’t sure how long meals could stay fresh in the fridge for that’s why I haven’t tried. May seem like I’m making excuses but considering I’m new to the whole cooking thing, I’m just scared to try different ways to cook foods! Thanks for your idea on trying a new thing a week, that may be something I start doing

I used to some strength yoga classes and energy based yoga and they definitely helped me tone up when I wasn’t doing much else

Thanks for the ideas! I like the mince taco bowl suggestion actually.. i am terrible with binging on junk foods cause it’s normally so much easier to prepare or is straight from a packet haha

Sorry my bad! I do need to start meal planning however with my average cooking skills and being a picky eater it’ll still be hard to manage what I could eat
-
I have tried to meal prep in the past but after moving out and sharing the freezer with two roommates, I can’t fit many meals in which makes it difficult
-
Definitely go and enjoy yourself! After the weekend give yourself a few days of cutting your calories slightly or add in some additional hiit workouts afterwards

I have take my fair share of anxiety and antidepressant medications. I was taking Zoloft and found I gained a lot of weight when I was on it.. mostly due to the fact I had no energy and would hardly leave my house apart from to work! I also craved a lot more sugar during that time and was consuming more soda calories than…

I’m quite a picky eater so I tend to go to foods I know I already like and are easy to make. I work long days so been getting used to just cooking things in the oven instead of trying to cook healthier meals. I try and log my foods accurately as most of the stuff I eat either have barcodes or are fruits and veggies. Thanks…
