Don't do it. It works if you only want to lose weight temporarily and quickly I guess but not if you really are trying to get healthy and lose long term weight. What if I started sedentary and have now sort of shifted to lightly active...do I keep the information I originally imputed or change it? Yes 1200 calories and especially when I work out keeps me very hungry so I would go over my calories those days. Now I know why.

I started at 151 and I want to get to 125. (I am 146.4 now). Im 5'0 and sedentary (desk job). 1200 calories daily but I work out 3-4 times a week. I selected 2 pounds loss per week but MFP gave me .05 at a 1200 daily calorie goal.

Thank you. Very helpful. Before I found out I was supposed to be eating back my calories I lost 2 pounds this last week (in 1 week)...I worked out 3-4 times that week. Should I be worried that I will gain that back since I guess I was not fueling myself right?

I am the same as the OP. I tend to still feel very hungry. I used to eat a lot of white rice (steamed) and that would keep me full longer after lunch (now I eat black beans instead) but I was told white rice every other day was not healthy? Is it ok to eat rice most days?

I have broad shoulders too and if my husband said that I would probably cry. My shoulders make me very insecure.

But they are little....LOL. I did not expect them to be low calorie Obiouslyyyy but it was shocking too see how many calories it actually had. Wasn't expecting half of my daily calorie allowance to go to Little Miss Debbie.

I selected 2 but at the end it said if I ate 1200 calories a day I would lose in average .05 pounds a week. I guess I was too short and overweight for the goal that I was trying to reach so it gave me a more realistic .05 per week. So far it has been working.

What do you mean? Lol. I used to and I did lose weight faster then but I haven't gotten back to it in over a year.

It may be too aggressive because I am always hungry at the end of the day. I eat back my exercise calories most days and that helps but I do not always exercise so I do not always have those extra calories to munch on.

I eat something not so great once a day too. For lunch I will usually have black beans and ground turkey or chicken. The dessert I have after is not that great... flavored coffee..chocolate..cookie.. but it fits my calories. I am 5ft and weigh 148.4...goal weight is 125

What if my calorie goal is 1200 does that mean when I lose 10 pounds I will have to eat less than 1200 calories a day?? I do not think I could do that.

I love this thread. My biggest shock thus far (day 19 streak) has been coconut flakes. 100+ calories for about 3 tablespoons. Say what?! I used to grab a handful and put it in my smoothie. I have now abandoned my box of coconut flakes. :(

Thank you all for the great ideas.I also eat Fiber One brownies every now and then..so yummy. Instant hot chocolate sounds great too; is that with water though? I think I need to go buy some special dark chocolate kisses asap and try everything else that was mentioned. Thanks again.
