Thanks guys, tons of useful info here. I'll give it a try and ease myself into it on my next workout. Let you know how it all goes. Thanks again!

Hmm I'm not an expert so hopefully someone will chime in here, but if I recall from one of my classes correctly High weight low reps is mainly for bulking/building muscle, whereas Lower weight higher reps is for endurance and toning, but again hopefully someone can chime in as I'm not sure I'm remembering that correctly.

Muscle weighs more than fat so don't worry too much if the scale fluctuates a bit. Look good, feel good. If it helps you can also get someone to take your measurements for an added metric to visualize your progress

Calorie counting is what helped me get a handle on my food intake. I'd tend to feel very guilty if I went over my goals. There are also those times when I've hit my goal but I'm still just really hungry, for those times I began eating lots of celery, it's very low cal and great for you.

I also weigh myself every Sunday. I feel like once per week shows the most significant changes when you've made progress. I found when I was weighing myself daily I'd get discouraged due to weight fluctuations now I just get discouraged on my rest day, work out my emotion and head back to the gym the next day haha.

I'm up for it. I'm about 40 days into the app but am still only really using it for the calorie counting/progress charts. It may take me a bit to figure out all it's functions.
