  • I will count the full meal, then bring home whatever I didn't eat off the plate at the restaurant, and incorporate it later in my day. That way I logged, and ate, all of those calories. This takes some extra planning. I have to order stuff that transports home okay, or it won't work. Nachos generally don't transport home…
  • This happened to me at Wingstop. I ordered "ranch" with my wings. Of course, I thought I was ordering ranch. Looked up the calories later... um nope, it was about twice the calories of the ranch in my fridge... oops.
  • Awesome! Cause I've been eating a lot of those. B) <3
  • It's not Subway is it? I've been getting a 6" turkey with no cheese and thinking I'm eating 300 calories... because that's what the website says. Am I wrong?
  • I have just went through my summer clothes because it is now hot enough that I cannot stretch the inbetween-summer-and-winter clothes any longer, and I am almost in tears over not having anything to wear. There are 3 summer tops that I like and fit me. While losing weight has been a huge accomplishment for me, I don't know…
  • I was hit by a drunk and have sciatica. In my case, losing weight helped. This was a complete surprise as I was not overweight even at my highest weight, so I did not expect to see a difference. I have read online "lose weight" as the #1 tip to help sciatica sufferers over and over again, but because no doctor ever told me…
  • You have an amazing list of triggers, that is such an achievement to figure out all those things!
  • Since discovering this thread on January 16, I have decluttered over 1200 items.
  • What are your triggers? My known ones are aged cheese, red wine, and Grand Marnier liquor. There are more but I haven't been able to discover them.
  • There is a boatload of stuff that can cause hair loss. Sleeping with an eye mask over your eyes, sleeping in between two pillows, not washing your hair correctly, not conditioning your hair, using a lot of chemicals in your hair, physically mishandling your hair (twisting, pull, rubbing towels on it), not appropriately…
  • I can really see the difference. Especially in the first two photos, look at your butt. It's much smaller and tighter in the second, even taking into consideration the different leggings. In pictures three and four, compare the armpits. Those are the most striking differences to me. Now excuse me while I die of shame for…
  • You kind, wonderful person. I am grateful to you for posting this video, you have no idea. Thank you.
  • 5' 3" 123 lbs 11.75" Started at 140lbs, did measure neck, was 12.75."
  • Please see your doctor. This is not normal and should be checked into.
  • Me too. I saw an article on a UK website detailing fancy chocolate Easter eggs and I was so jealous! I can't find anything like that in the states. I told my spouse when we take a trip to London I want to go in April....
  • I'm glad to hear you are on the road to recovery!
  • Hello! 37F 5' 3" SW: 140 CW: 123 GW: 120 Birth control: on 3 month birth control pack for 17 years. On birth control (any kind) 22 years total. What happened to me: Yes, there is an adjustment period. This adjustment period has happened to me on every pill I have ever been on. I personally always gave each new pill 3…
  • You'll have to open it to find out, but I bet its fine. Also, keep in the fridge after you open it. I used to drink Baileys in coffee so I have a good amount of experience with Baileys. Maybe next winter I'll have another bottle of it.
  • I have 3 drinks now. 1 oz vodka, 5 oz Strawberry Powerade Zero: 64 calories 1 oz Kahlua, 5 oz diet root beer or cream soda: 53 calories 1 oz Malibu Coconut Rum, 5 oz Mixed Berry Powerade Zero: 51 calories (tastes like Ocean Water) Drink up, these are excellent and I've tried a few dozen mixes to get here.
  • Good job on your losses. The inches may be disappearing from areas you are not measuring, if you are only measuring hips and waist, that is likely the issue. I have lost 16 lbs and am also a small person, and my feet shrank, so weight can definitely come off in weird places. It never occurred to me to measure my feet, so…
  • No. 37F SW:140 CW: 124 GW: 120 I'm losing right around the .5lbs / week MFP has me on track for, eating 1280 calories a day and 5 years older than you.
  • You absolutely need to go to your doctor straight away. Good luck.
  • I day drink on vacation if I'm in an appropriate environment for it. Otherwise, I am not a day drinker.
  • 37F 5' 3" SW: 140 CW: 124 GW: 120 I'm going to transition to maintenance at 120 lbs. If I'm able to maintain okay but would like to lose some vanity pounds I may go for 115, but I'm not deciding that right now. It also depends on my clothes. I cannot afford and do not want to replace my entire wardrobe. I've already lost…
  • At those stats, you can safely lose 0.5 lbs per week which in 7 weeks is 3.5 lbs, putting you at 131.5 lbs if you lose exactly on schedule. I'm 5' 3" also and following MFP, lose at a rate of .4 - .6 lbs per week, consistently. To lose 15 lbs down to 120 you will need 30 weeks.
  • No. My account was initially opened in 2012 so maybe it's a thing with older accounts? It happened today: I logged my weight as 125.6 and took new measurements and it dropped me another 10 calories so I didn't even get to 125.0 before losing another 10. :'( Apparently I am headed all the way down to 1200 which I feel like…
  • I once landed on blog where the author insisted that pooping a lot when you were on a diet was a good thing, because that was how you lost weight. There was a long, detailed explanation about how you could not lose weight without pooping, because your body converted the fat to poop to get rid of it. The best part was the…
  • Oh snap. So my calories will continue to shrink even on maintenance mode. :'(
  • Mine definitely auto-adjust when I update my weight. I started in June at 140lbs, 1370 cal/day and as I've logged weight loss, it has slowly moved me down 10 - 20 calories at a time to now 126lbs, 1290 cal/day. I figure when I get to 125, it'll auto-adjust again to 1280 because that's how its been going. I've never…
  • This is me, too. I can't think of all the meals I've consumed that started with an appetizer, included drinks like martinis, finished with desserts, and all of us at the table eating the exact same stuff. And this is a truly wonderful example of exactly why calorie counts should be mandatory on menus. I bet you wouldn't…
