  • Hm, so I just scanned the barcode on the chicken that I purchased. You recommend finding a cooked option through the MFP database? I try to use it as little as I can, I've noted a lot of incorrectly entered items.
  • @snowflake954 what are you using to calculate calories burned? I just purchased a Garmin fitness tracker that claims it is A ) swim proof & B ) will track swimming activity and calories burned. I did some heavy research on the calories burned and found some suggestions that MFP should be much more generous and some said…
  • I, personally am a huge Chocolate Lover. I crave it alll the time. I picked these up from Aldi, and I am singing its praises as much as I can. This tastes like an actual candy bar. Not some sort of hybrid "health" bar or "power" bar. Its an "advanced snack/ light meal". It FILLS me up. I will eat one in the morning in the…
  • Good news to report!! 3 lbs till my month goal. My Numbers: SW: 250... EVEN CW: 245.2 LTGW:150 GW for November: 242 Weigh ins: FRIDAYS 11/16 - 245.2 11/23 (day after Thanksgiving :'() - 11/30 -
  • I'm looking into the same things. I'm looking mostly at the vivofit 4 and the fitbit Flex2. The vivofit 4 (& vivofit3) seem to advertise a one year battery life, like as in no charging for a year?? Legit or bogus? The Fitbit Flex2 says its 5 days which is still decent enough, but not compared to one year haha. Anyone used…
  • Tootsie rolls are pretty low on the cals/fats.I ate two mini ones for a whopping 40 cals
  • I found a lot of varying calculators and statements in articles. One had my workout at almost 700 calories burned, another under 550 calories. It all depends on intensity, which is hard to define. So I think all considered, MFP may just be a decent average. Would be interesting to see what it comes out to be once I upgrade…
  • True, so maybe I *don't* work on my form and just continue to flop around in the pool haha. I'm going to do some heavy research into calories burned. I should upgrade my fitbit flex to the fitbit flex2 since its swimproof and will give me a better idea on my workout.
  • THESE!!! OMG so good, so filling. Got them from Aldi
  • Oh, I'm about as sedentary as it gets. I have a desk job, do like one chore/day because I haven't had the energy to do anything more. Haven't been to the gym in a long time. I fully understand the algorithms, but was surprised that it had me just jump right into it is all.
  • It is a huge decifict. I was honestly a little shocked MFP suggested it. I have 100 to lose and want to lose the 2/wk so here I go. But I’ve done pretty well so far. As long as I can keep it up I think I’ll be ok. I was surprised though, I did my first workout in....well, way too long and according to MFP it burned almost…
  • YOU CAN DO THIS! I'm losing for similar reasons; wedding coming up and I want to be around and have a low risk pregnancy. my fiancé wants to start like ASAP. Add me and lets do this!!
  • I HATE going to the gym. or Exercise in general. I always accumulate new injuries and they become costly to take care of.
  • Best of luck. Lots of ideas and researchers here if you decide you want that again as well. Add me if you would like!
  • Also getting Wedding Fit! Getting married in late March. Best of luck!!
  • I have brought a sweet potato (that I cooked in the office microwave) and some raw veggies before. I've also been known to bring a "steam in bag" quinoa and vegetable mix that I've also just microwaved and eaten out of the bag with a fork.
  • Yesterday was the LAST "day one" for me, I started backlogging foods I had eaten over the weekend as a sort of practice. A ) I was horrified by how many calories I passively ate. B ) I quickly realized that in order to get the most accurate log and diet I needed a food scale. I picked one up from my local Walmart on my way…
  • Howdy! New and late but don't want to miss out on the fun! My Numbers: SW: 250... EVEN CW: 250 LTGW:150 GW for November: 242 Weigh ins: FRIDAYS 11/16 - 11/23 (day after Thanksgiving :'() - 11/30 -
  • I’m going to add you!
  • Mozzerella sticks are my weakness.
  • I'm in the Virginia, US. You?
  • I'd love some accountability buddies!
  • Awesome! Did you find there was less sodium in the homemade soups? I feel like, in general, soups can really pack on the sodium.
  • YES! I'll be your accountability buddy! I have bunch of weight I need to lose, preferably most before my March wedding. My fiance can eat anything and not gain a pound, so I am in desperate need of someone who knows the struggles!
  • I'm trying to lose about 100lb total. I want to be down at least 30lbs by March 30 (my wedding) I mostly do k cups (2 black coffee, 1 Vanilla cappuccino) , but I am prone to walking across the street to buy coffee.
  • Today is day one, so I'm still working that out a bit. MFP gave me a calorie goal of 1360 calories/ day to lose 2lbs/wk. But to maintain my current weight I would need to be eating 2,360 calories/day which I would say I was definitely meeting previously. So that's 1,000 calories?
  • I'm also struggling with energy. I've seen a HUGE decrease in energy with the last +/- 10 lbs I've gained this year. I've been relying on coffee mostly to get through the days, but a lot of coffee drinks pack on the sugar and fats. I will drink about 4 cups of coffee a day and 1-2 of those will be black but I get weak and…
  • What's your food plan looking like? I kind of have jumped into this today with ZERO plan except to lower my calorie intake and to work a caloric deficit.
  • Also in the 100lb goal club. under 40 though. In the past I've always struggled with intense sweet tooth cravings and finding a good & healthy balance between striving for goals while also not applying too much pressure on myself that I crack and give up. What's been your biggest struggle? Is anyone jumping into set diet…
