Bump! Just watched this and LOVED it!

I'm seeing a dietician this week to discuss this issue. I NEED to do something about my issues with food. The more I focus on it the more I'm likely to self sabotage. But if I don't pay enough attention to my diet I'll end up getting too hungry and then grabbing junk food.

I am having the EXACT same issue. I LIKE to eat- like it's a hobby or something. Not sure what to do about it. Am seeing a dietician this week to see if I can get some help. I ate a large breakfast this morning and didn't have a big lunch as wasn't hungry but as soon as my toddlers had their nap at 1pm all I wanted to do…

Are you trying to restrict too much then getting genuinely hungry and then bingeing? How about starting with a filling breakfast and trying to avoid getting too hungry and seeing if that helps. Fill up on lots of veggies. Nothing is 'off limits' on here but some things need to be in smaller portions to stay within your…

I looked at online reviews and they were very negative- saying the same as above. It appears difficult to cancel as well.

Sounds odd but what about cornflour/cornstarch? Or a baby bottom powder with cornstarch in it? Ubby used it recently for chafing as that's all we had in the house and it was great 😄

Yoga often focuses on stretching the hips. Maybe worth checking out YouTube for yoga/hip stretches etc

For muscle cramps taking a magnesium supplement daily works wonders. Ideally take just before bed as it also helps you sleep.

I've almost fallen off the wagon already.... lost a little weight and getting more veggies in but my motivation has reduced a lot! Did go for a brisk walk today and trying to get more active. I hate how I get excited about diets initially then a week later I can't be bothered anymore. I piss myself off!

Can you get turkey mince at Woolies over there? Maybe they'd have it at Countdown, but couldn't find it at Pak n Save :( [/quote] I've never seen turkey mince in NZ. Only ever seen Christmas turkey and very expensive rolled roast.
-
I'm in NZ too. What about venison? It's a very lean meat and I now prefer it to beef. I like pork but rarely cook with it. When I do it's mainly stir fries however pork fillet is great when cooked properly (hubby does it so I don't how how thats done!). Not sure re the calorie content of pork mince as probably quite fatty.…

I've neither gained nor lost because of starting or stopping the pill. However, it does give you a steady hormonal state. Allowing your own body to produce cyclical hormones may affect things?

@kbushe3221 ah that's sad but yes it's actually easier being at work than it us looking after young twins. Thankfully I'm part-time and my work days are heaven!

@kshama2001 thank you for your reply, you've made an excellent point and the graph says it all. Yes I think you're quite right, my calorie allowance is maybe the issue. I was aiming for 1400 but think I'll see how i go at 1500 or 1600 if it means I'll stick to it better. I only have around 10kg to lose but I had wanted to…

@Duck_Puddle I'm so sorry about the loss of your parents and your miscarriage. Thank you for sharing. I'm impressed you still managed to keep your health a priority when you could. Keep on truckin xx

@AnnPT77 wow thank you so much, can you be my life coach please?! Yes I've often felt fuller on carbs than protein so I'll do some experimenting. I also need breakfast and definitely can't just do the 3 meals/no snack thing. Right, this is more exciting now that I have some investigating to do! 😊
-
Thanks @AnnPT77 I found this very interesting! So do you just make sure you're eating regularly to avoid getting hungry? What would you typically eat as a filling but nutritious (lower calorie) snack? Today I got ravenous whilst waiting for lunch and it set off a few hours of overeating. Ahh retirement, I work part-time…

I'm really impressed by everyone's commitment here! I only started on Tuesday and today has been my first difficult day where I have really over-eaten. It seemed to go downhill as I just got too hungry before lunch and it set off an ongoing eating frenzy. Back on the wagon now for me, thanks for the motivation 😊

Same!! How is twin life going for you? I think mine were manageable at that age still, the rest of the first year is a bit of a blur though!

Greek yoghurt with homemade raspberry chia seed jam. Creamy garlic mushrooms on 1 slice toast. 40g Sultana Bran with milk and a hard boiled egg.

Mum of a 4yo and 2yo twins here. Aiming to lose the baby weight for good this time. 8kg to go! Also need to look less hippo like in a bikini in 6 weeks time- eeeek!

Hi ladies, I have a 4yo and 2yo twins. I just started with MFP on Tuesday. I've been fortunate to not havery much body shape change with the twins compared to my singleton but do have a small diastasis recti. I've done a lot of pelvic floor work and pilates to help it but I would still totally pee myself if I was on a…

I'm on Fluoxetine and it hasn't affected my weight or appetite.

I've found my people.....

MFP recommended 1200 for me but I think that's unrealistic so I changed it to 1400. I'm eating everything but obviously finding I'm avoiding eating some things regularly due to their higher caloric value. Im interested to see how i go based on calories alone. Thankfully i have had no issues trying to lose weight in the…

Count me in!

Me! This is it for me, I've started, I clearly need this in my life. Will add you 😊
-
I'm doing 1400 a day, this is my first go at MFP 😊

I posted about something similar a few days ago (Motivation forum- Day 1 and all I've done is binge). I had lots of good advice telling me to go slow and not try to change everything all at once. So Day 1 I just logged everything I ate. I was a good 1000 calories over my limit- no wonder I'd been gaining weight! So Day 2 I…
