Hello! I'd love to be friends. I'm a new mom to an 11 week old. I'm doing well as far as nutrition goes, but balancing the gym and 12 hour shifts and my photography on the side is definitely a challenge. All of my empathy goes out to moms having to deal with virtual learning. I cant even imagine.

I can barely see the ribs on my chest, below my collar bone, when I lift my arms above my head. I am nowhere near underweight, just kind of threw me off a bit when I noticed it. I called my husband into the bathroom and asked, "Look, here. Are these my ribs?" and he goes, "Yep, looks like it." Weird. I don't recall being…

@shanaber I use a padded hands free leash. Look into trekking belts. They're better for canicross or simply running with a dog, in my opinion. A lot of them also have leg loops to keep the belt from riding up onto your lower back. They can get kinda pricey, but definitely worth it. This is the one I've been eye balling…

I'm still only running 2 miles at a time since being back from having my son. I think I'm going to stay there till Spring. I hate the treadmill with a burning passion. My sister, brother, and I are signing up for a triathlon next Fall, in honor of a loved one who recently passed. Tyler would have been 22 years old in a few…

I agree with portion controlling. You can eat the same meals as him, just in lesser amounts. That, or meal prep. I'm not sure how much time you have, but it takes me less time to meal prep 1-2 times per week than to try and cook dinner every night. If you aren't satisfied with the portions, you don't have to eat the same…

Thank you!! And yes! He ruptured his bicep tendon. Second tear this year. He tore the other arm right at the beginning of all of this COVID nonsense. His surgeon said he's never met anyone with as terrible luck as him. He's finally able to be back to work. He's only part time right now because he still has to go back and…

I got cleared to run again by my doctor. I'm gonna tentatively plan for 30 miles this month. Let's hope I can find a babysitter often enough to actually run... baby is too young to be in a running stroller, and my husband and I work opposite shifts. All of my family are over an hour away.

Hello! I'm back 😊 We welcomed our little future runner into the world on August 29th ♡ 9 lbs, 4 oz. I was NOT expecting him to be that big. Labored for 29 hours total and pushed for the last 4 of those. Meet Finnegan ♡ I am HOPING to be back to running by the end of September, but we will see. I have to get back to walking…

Just checking in! I fell way behind and did not have time or energy to read 10+ pages lol I have not walked hardly at all. We had a miserable heat wave so I stayed in my air conditioning. The weather is tolerable again but I still haven't been on more than a couple walks. I don't know what it is. I love hiking, so I'm sure…

I'll go with 30 walking miles. Midwife banned me from running due to pelvic pain and a history of preterm births running in my family. Pretty depressed I can't run but maybe the fresh air will offer a more positive perspective than the back of my eyelids.

I fell short of my goal by about 6 miles. My midwife told me it was time to stop and go down to walking. The not being able to run or lift has gotten me pretty depressed. I don't know if its the sudden lack of exercise endorphins or what. I know I could be outside walking but I just can't motivate myself to. The…

That bird is beautiful!! Pain was still there so I decided to call my midwife and got transferred to her nurse. She was not at all happy with my activity yesterday (which, by the way, my midwife was aware of my running and lifting and encouraged it) and said that I likely pushed too hard and I need to take this as a sign…

Any chance you have or could have exercise induced asthma?

KIND of a scale victory? But the part that's MY victory has nothing to do with the scale, so I'll share My husband has been trying to lose weight for a good year now, to no avail. He's tried "everything," except for tracking calories. That was the one thing he did NOT want to do, even though he watched me have great…

Pray for me 😭 Running's been going okay. I've had to cut my 2 miles down even further to 1.5 And I am hurting something fierce today. I feel like I got punched in my private area. After googling (bad idea) I think it may be the ligaments in my pelvis are irritated or that the pelvis itself is trying to separate. So I don't…

Just did 1.8 miles tonight, and it was intervals because I brought my husband along. I didnt mind having to walk with him. I was happy for his company. I did let him run ahead of me and the dogs, though, and with them trying to chase him, I had to work twice as hard to keep my pace slower and got some nasty Braxton Hicks…

Who knew online-strangers-become-friends would be such a great support group? ♥ I love you all so much. @Camaramandy648 Spotify is the best! I literally cannot stand Pandora anymore. I used to use it a lot, and then my husband introduced me to Spotify and I've never looked back 😂 @quilteryoyo I'm sorry to hear about your…

30 weeks and 5 days pregnant today. My mini goal is to continue running and lifting until at least 34 weeks, if my body will allow it. So far, no issues. I do get some pretty funny looks at the gym when I load up the squat rack or head over to the cables. Definitely makes it a bit harder with having social anxiety. But I'm…

Holy cow, did I ever fall behind 😂 @_nikkiwolf_ running with an ice cream cone is very impressive :D I can't even drink water and run at the same time, I have to stop or I will either face plant or risk chipping a tooth on the bottle. Funny enough, I can text and run though :D sometimes it looks a bit like drunk texting,…

Hang in there! If you're new to the gym or to lifting weights, you're going to see water retention as your body tries to hold onto it to repair damaged muscles. It's completely normal. Just stay consistent and you'll see it come off. Sometimes it'll be a few pounds at once, sometimes it'll pick back up again gradual. Take…

Our Wisconsin heat wave finally broke!! Yesterday it was a beautiful 64 degrees F outside, rather than 90 and humid. Me and the dogs ran 2 miles out in the sunshine. It was super refreshing after an entire week on the treadmill. And this preggo with her dumb pregnancy brain forgot to even open Runkeeper until I had already…
-
@Avidkeo I'll keep your husband in my thoughts and prayers ♥ I hope he's okay. I hate hospitals, too, however necessary they are. I plan to run outside tonight instead of on the treadmill, for the first time in what seems like forever, weather permitting. It's not supposed to get above 77° F today, so fingers crossed. The…

My mini goal is not weight related, but running. I'm 29 weeks pregnant tomorrow and so far I've still been running and lifting, with my midwife's blessing. I've cut back on the running the last couple weeks, from 3-4 miles at a time to 2 miles. I would like to keep up with the 2 miles, 3-4 times per week, hopefully till 32…

I'm only up 4.5 miles so far. It's just too damned hot, and I'm not about to get up at 4 am in order to beat the sunlight and run outside, then hit the gym, before my shift at 6 am. I work 12 hour shifts...so unfortunately I need to block my running and lifting together or one of them won't happen. Because....sleep and…

Ms Trunchbull's chocolate cake Most delicious, decadent looking thing I have seen in my entire life My pregnancy cravings are hitting hard and that's all I want The thing is, only that cake will do. And alas, it is a fictional cake. Woe is me.

@mbaker566 I never have. Even when its really cold here in the winter, I'll start with a hat or a headband and before I'm even done with the first mile I get so overheated I have to take it off. I also can't run with my glasses, I either wear my contacts or run with blurry vision. My hair has to be back, though. If…

Usually clothing. Often tattoos. After I have my baby in August, when I get back down to pre-pregnancy weight I am going to reward myself with getting my belly button or nose pierced.
