I've not been on for several months for no real reason. Just seems like I can't get my act together. Have a new granddaughter born in July after a long trying period for my kids. My six year old granddaughter is so in love with her little sister it can't help but make you smile. So, I'm trying to work on moving forward not…

I haven't checked in for months now but getting back on track. My husband underwent chemo for his mysterious neurological problem but no change so it back to trial and error. We adopted a 12 week old puppy and she has been so good for him as he gets out of his chair to take her out. She is a Chihuahua shitzu mix about 8…

I haven't checked in for a while. Our year started out with great news, we are having a new granddaughter in July. Such a blessing as kids have been trying for three years and finally went OFF and first cycle worked. Our 5 year old granddaughter is so excited. She has been asking for a sibling for last two years. Also, we…

Well this year is almost a wrap. I'm pretty much at the same spot as last year but not a lot more. Starting again but not defeated. Wishing you all a good new year. May you be inspired to pursue health and keep moving ahead. Thanks to all of you who share your journey. You inspire me to not give up.🌟🌟

Husband had last round of chemo yesterday so now it's wait and see. It may take several months to see improvement. Steve, I was thinking of all you are going through and how strong you are. Your an inspiration.

Just checking in. Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season. Stay healthy, safe and enjoy those you are with. I'm looking forward to being with my son, daughter in law and grandaughter. I'm going to enjoy the company and focus on them rather than the food.🌲🌲

Wishing you a speedy recovery. I've had the same thing when I fell down a flight of stairs and know how painful it is. My son is an orthopedist and says it's a real pain in the a..

Lost two pounds on cruise so good to see. Gave me desire to avoid six sins of Christmas past better known as panatone, homemade truffles, bread pudding with whisky sauce, moms fruitcake and thin ginger snaps. As good as those things are the results wipe out all my hard work, especially since I eat 80% of it and my husband…

I am another oldster 74.6 years. Just returned from a ten day cruise from San Francisco to Mexico and had a relaxing time and tried to not over indulge will weigh in tomorrow and hope to have maintained. Not as active as usual as my husband can't walk very far so no trips around deck or stairs. Back to routine manana.

Hope you are well after yesterday. Fortunately, we went to friends so no left overs to deal with as all those left over with carbs and sugar are not an issue. It's all about celebrating with those we love not all the food. How thankful for slowly being able to be with family and friends. Counting my blessings and that…

Steve, I hear you. Stress definitely makes things more difficult. For me, I either get so stressed I can't eat or I go off the track completely. You are doing amazingly well with all you are dealing with. Keep on plugging away.

This group is very supportive and the tools are easy to use You can use it as a tool to keep you accountable by reporting your progress. If you are not comfortable with doing the whole group select and request them as a friend and report…

Good morning all. Sending positive thoughts for a beautiful day. We finally have fall weather here in Sacramento and looking forward to much needed rain. This is my kind of weather. Had a nice walk this morning and dusted off my treadmill for rainy days. Take care, be kind to yourself and stay on your journey.

Thank you for the info on how to report I appreciate it. This site is too valuable to many and I don't want to see it ruined. 😊😊

Hi all. Can any one tell me if there is a way to report unacceptable friend requests? I've had several that were questionable and got one today which showed her naked crotch and I hate to see a valuable sight turn into this. I obviously decline but hate getting such filth.

Had an unexpected mini vacation to the coast again. Just happy to get away while my husband is well enough to still get out as don't know what the future holds for him. We have a cruise planned before he has two chemo treatments to do. Trying to enjoy each day and keep focused on my weight issue. I'm not losing but…

Lately, I have been adding mashed or riced cauliflower with various seasonings to my lean protein meal and it has helped me get more veggies in. I'm not a big veggie eater and this has been a tasty boost.

The loss of fear friends is so hard. I'm down to one very dear friend and miss the others so much. No one to call and share joys of sorrows with like my three besties. I think that's what this site helps with. A place to share not only weight needs and encouragement but just life. You are not alone.

Morning all. Interesting posts today. I too found myself more disciplined when working. I struggle to keep my momentum especially since I stay home more and really am a boredom eater. We did get a few days at the coast and came home refreshed. Steve, glad your wife is getting a break.. My son (a doctor) reminds me I can't…

Steve, I know this journey with cancer is so very difficult. You are so strong. My prayers are with you and your wife.

New week, New start for me. Had two off weeks where I didn't log and managed to gain 2 lbs ugh I know better. So back to plan. Just tired of the constant battle. So enough of my whining and moving on. You are all such an inspiration. I'm looking forward to a trip to Carmel in a couple of weeks. Getting out of town and to…

Steve, sending you positive thoughts and prayers. Hope the care of this group can help lift you up in the dark days. You are an inspiration to many as you don't give up. Take care of yourself as best you can.

Greetings to all new to this group. I have found so much motivation just from this group alone. There is always someone out there to encourage when I am discouraged and ready to give up. No matter how slow the journey may be someday we all get to goal of we keep at it. Like most, I sure can gain it faster than lose it.…

Hi all. Sounds like all is well out there. We had a great day yesyerday, got to see our five year old granddaughter and family which always makes me smile. Unfortunately we don't see them as much as we would like. My scale was out of batteries for a few days but all was well when I got them replaced and saw I lost a bit.…

My experience has really reinforced how different each of us are. I'm 74 and 5 ft 3 and started at 182 now down to 168. Eating 1200 calories a day my weight loss was very slow like a pound a month so my Dr lowered me to 1000 calories a day and now I am losing a lb a week. He told me to never go lower so here I am. Have…

Glad to hear from you Steve and that you had some good time with your sons. Know your struggle is hard and that you still can focus on your health is an inspiration to all of us.

Welcome Kathy. This group of friends is good at motivation. Late night snacking is definitely hard for many. I'm fortunate the bedroom. Is upstairs and I head up to read right after dinner. Since my husband is a night owl downstairs I am too lazy and embarrassed to go down and snack. Sometimes just recording snacks can…

Good morning all. Finally seeing the scale going the right direction. I've lost 15 lbs of the 30 my pulmonologist wanted so feeling better. I don't see him until January so hope to meet the goal. My intermediate goal is 10 lbs in 10 weeks which should be doable if I can stay focused. Hope you are all progressing. Thanks to…

Same here. I figure no one who looks really young really wants to friend someone 74 years old. May be judgemental but keeps me out of a bad situation. Even if they don't have a picture I click on their friends and usually find some pictures.

On my goodness Ann how stressful your rowing mishap must have been. Glad you are all safe. Don't really know about any treatment. See Dr. On the 5th so will see then. I do know I have to have repeat biopsies at years 1,2,3 and 5. At least I know they are not awful to go through.
