Thanks for the responses! I guess I was just hesitant after seeing super complicated styling tutorials on Pinterest :)

I'm on every day, feel free to add me! Love to give and get support!

I log and track everyday. It's been a slow process but I've been consistently losing. Congrats for starting your journey again. Feel free to add me!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and your decision to start your new life on a healthier note! Keep in mind alterations for your dress - I'm newly married and had to have several fittings over the two months leading up to my wedding. At the very first one, the seamstress warned me not to lose more than 5-7 pounds…

Confession: I just came back to my office after eating a salad in the lunch room, shut the door, and ate saltines. And I licked them so extra salt would stick to them. It was amazing.

Have you considered the above experience and perspective? From my personal experience, I wanted to be healthy and more active but the more my husband (fiancé at the time) pushed me, the less interested I became. I needed to decide it was worth it to ME to truly get up and get active. What I haven't seen anyone else say…

Welcome Steve! Congratulations on finding this group and for reaching out for support from other ADDers.

I don't currently have a thyroid issue (knocking on wood), but have had low levels in the past and my doctor has me on a low dose hormone and taking D3 in the morning. I echo the earlier posts and would suggest asking your doctor at the visit (or calling the nurse tomorrow if you're truly concerned) what exactly they…

Everyone is so creative, I love this thread. It's rainy out so I had roasted red pepper and tomato soup with part of a fresh French baguette and half a mango for dessert.

Are you drinking enough water? I personally get really tired and grumpy when I don't drink enough. If you've stopped drinking soda, milk, juice, etc but haven't replaced them with water, I could see mild dehydration making you more tired (on top your current diet).

I'm getting married in October and am looking to lose at least 15 pounds and will re-evaluate then. I'm not a nurse but have a super stressful job with lots of travel and desk sitting involved. Feel free to add - I log daily!

In to save this for money saving tips! And the great job OP did

I travel an immense amount for work (lots of time in transit but also lots of days away from home where I'm at a desk for 10+ hours). I've found staying hydrated really helps reduce my hunger. Other than that I like to plan my snack meals out, meaning I pack lots of snacks but they're all portioned to keep me accountable.…

I'm 26 and have at least 15lbs to lose. Once I'm there, I'll reassess and keep on it! Feel free to add

We're planning on a fall 2015 but if the stress level keeps climbing (read: family), we're going to do an immediate family only elopement style wedding in March. Needless to say, I can't plan on having a year.... I gotta be ready for March just in case! Friends, motivators, and reminders are more than welcome :-)

I log in consistently but getting up and working out is my downfall. I'm just over 20lbs down so far. Feel free to add me!

I have a new fitbit and use that and this site daily!

In to save for ideas later!

In to save this for later!

I'm 26 and I have a desk job too. Like the kind where I don't have a "lunch break" so I eat every single day at my desk as I work...I really want a fitbit for support and motivation but I've been having that wristband versus clip battle for about two weeks. Feel free to add me!

QFT. Except I made the mistake of finishing the books because I thought it might get better...

You can do it! I live in VA and work in DC and I completely feel your pain. Especially on those days where I forget my breakfast or lunch and have to cave to the cost and calories of eating downtown. I bought snack bars which helps but doesn't 'replace' a meal in my book. There's so many awesome little parks and hiking…

Add me :) I'm on everyday logging and love the motivation and support from other active people! I've slacked recently on the exercise portion but I'm getting back to it with no more excuses (life happens is not a valid reason anymore!)

Mind bown. I think I may need to go cookbook shopping now because I hate doing the US-to-metric conversion when using my scale. Also, I don't struggle with using my scale with recipes or making meals, I struggle with determining proper portion after the food is ready. Like cooked pasta, chili, casseroles. Anyone have good…

I put coffee in my Mr. Tickle mug and gained 3 pounds. I should have listened, it must be a tea thing!
