I actually use Jif natural and have a sandwich quite often for lunch. Very low in sodium. Like other have said here, watch you overall calories more than one particular food item.

I basically do a 80/20 plan. Five days a week Mon-Fri I am strict to my lifestyle and on Sat and Sun I loosen up the rules a bit and if I want to go out and get a burger and fries then so be it. I generally still track as much as possible those days as well. I generally lose 1 to 2 pounds a week and going by weekly number…

Weekends are my free time with Saturday being a completely free day. I track my calories even on the weekends, but they will not be completely accurate as it is hard to find counts for locally owned restaurants. This has worked well for me, but might not for everyone. It has taken me several months to get mine right where…

You're welcome to add me.

Thanks again everyone! I will give her some of the feedback shown here. Her exercise is generally walking a few times a week where I do a circuit training routine on my total gym three days a week for 25 minutes or so. I have a knee that bothers me that has limited my cardio workout for the last three weeks, so the total…

Thanks for the advice all! She is 5'9". When I was showing her MFP it was coming up with a higher calorie number the best I remember. I too think 1200 may be a bit low.

I check each morning throughout the week but my official weigh in for tracking purposes come on Saturday morning first thing. My goal is to loose 1-2 lbs per week. As long as I'm down on my official day, i'm ok.

For me it's generally once a week on Saturday. I eat whatever I feel like and don't pay attention to carbs, fat, or calories. I do try and log everything though.

I follow a 80/20 plan myself. I am very strict on my calorie count and exercise routine five days a week. Then the weekends are mine! I take the weekends off from the gym, don't count all my calories, and if I want to go I do. For example, last weekend I went to Red Robin and had a bacon cheeseburger, two rounds of fries…

Face seems to be first for me, then chest. Mid-section seems to be the slowest.

If it helps any, my wife is ahead of me this week by 2 lbs! and we do almost exactly the same routine. Keep at it; it will come off if you keep working!

I love unsweetened black tea and will have green tea on occasion. Back a year or so ago I was trying out different teas. I tried African Rooibos Red Tea and love it! Drink it both hot and cold, but I'm doubtful that either are having any effect with my weight loss.

OP, what you describe in your post is how I feel about my wife sometimes, lol. I can't stand clutter, she could care less. Over our 19 years together though, I have learned that it's never going to change, so instead of fighting about it I just pick up stuff around the house daily and throw it all in a pile on her side of…

Generally I weigh in every couple of days. I just like to know what is going on so I can adjust my diet/workouts accordingly if need be, but right now I seem to be in a good grove. I don't want to hit a plateau and not know about it for a month.

Would like to be able to perform moderate exercise and make some gains where everything doesn't hurt for days after, lol. Weight target is 180 (at 216 now), but really would be happy with anything under 200. Would also allow me to get back into some clothes that have been collecting dust in the closet.

FMP recommends that I eat 1880 a day which works out to about 8X my body weight. That is to lose 1.5 lbs per week working out once a week which is about all can average right now. Over the last few weeks I have been losing about 2 lbs per week without any problems and that is with a cheat day every Saturday where I am WAY…

Feel free to add me, and same to all the others that have replied here. I'm always looking for people that can help keep me going and answer questions. I'm always willing to help others anyway I can as well!

If I go to subway I get a salad instead of a sub. However I find it too costly to do on a regular basis. I also agree that Quiznos has better subs, but as I avoid bread during the week, I stay away from both.

I agree with this post completely. By saying that you are never again going to eat this or that will only set you up for failure. I pick out one day a week (generally Saturday) that I don't track anything. I start the day off with my normal breakfast, but then for the rest of the day it's whatever I feel like. It has…

Staying away from the bread has been hard for me, and of course I'm a bit of a chip fanatic as well. But feel much better now that I have cut all of that out of my diet. I have been using Atkins bars as a quick meal here and there when I'm out and busy. They seem to make it pretty easy to grab something on the go that is…
