  • The Cake is a lie! :noway: Whaaaaat?
  • Most birth control can cause weight gain and make it more difficult to lose weight. You can still lose but it is more difficult. Not everyone has this problem but many do. I was on the depo for a long time when I was younger and I do blame some of my weight gain on it (not all). Talk to your doctor about how to combat the…
  • even if you are sedentary you do DO things that burn calories... that is where the sedentary calories burned come from - Even if it is getting up to go to the bathroom or typing or talking. The BMR is only to exist and breathe with absolutely no activity.
  • I love this line. I think it will be my new healthy life style mantra! I also figured out that my down fall was really portion-size. I ate lots of good-for-me stuff... but that was the problem... I was eating LOTS of good-for-me stuff. :ohwell: but now I measure and weigh just about everything I eat and try to do a very…
  • Loved it! Can't wait for more!
  • Great Job!! you look amazing!
  • I really like the peacock dress and the silver. They are fun with some class and both will look super cute with the shoes off. They have a bit more of that carefree attitude that will carry themselves with the shoes gone.
  • Awesome!!! Great Job! I understand the feeling... it is a very proud and happy moment. not to mention the little bit of "neener neener" that goes into it!!  :flowerforyou:
  • I wore knee braces when I was in High School. I was heavy then as well - but i played sports - and I wore the men's plain pull-on neoprene braces (I think it was probably the xl) and they helped immensely. That being said... I then gained a lot of weight. And when I decided to get back into shape I discovered that they do…
  • NSV = Non Scale Victory. Any health, body, or mind accomplishment that does not directly relate to the scale. They are great to remember when the scale is not going the direction you really want it to go.
  • It tracks and reports from your entered MFP start weight.
  • I weigh myself almost everyday (cue *gasp of scandal) but my "official" weigh-in day is Friday morning. i do not obsess over it but I find it interesting and usually a positive experience. Anyway... I will enter my loses because they make me feel good. I will record gains if it is my "official" weigh-in day. It works for…
  • On here... Go to "tools" an then the BMR - that is basic metabolic rate - what you burn just by existing.
  • Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!:drinker: great job!!!!:flowerforyou:
  • I completely agree!
  • Actually if you go to Home --- goals. Then go to --- change goals --- Guided and continue you can change your goal weight there --- your tickers will adjust from there.
  • I do have cheat days and rest days but RARELY are they the same day. If I have a rest day where I don't exercise then I try to make sure I stay well within (under) my calorie goal - currently 1200 - 1600 . If I splurge food wise I try to make sure that I have done at least something to burn (at least some of) it off - i.e.…
  • I eat them! They do seem to satisfy the sweet craving. I also eat the portion control salty/savory type snacks. I do limit myself to one of them a day. Some are better than others (tasting or ingredient wise)... they are not all created equal. Good luck!
  • I feel ya on the love/hate relationship with the too big clothes! Congratulations on the pants! In my opinion... the getting more comfortable with your body and yourself is the biggest best and most important NSV!!!! GREAT JOB!!! You are a rock star!!

  • I have heard that ediet.com does this. My friend used it a couple of years ago... I have not personally used it. You can get suggestions for different types of diets and preferences (i.e. she dislikes tomatoes and does not eat red meat) good luck if you find a good one that you like you should post it.
  • Great job!! Having a super positive out look is going to take you where you want to go (well along with the hard work and sweat hehehe)! Keep it up!
  • Awesome Great Job!!
  • All of the suggestions are great - I love popchips! If the idea of a full substitution is not working out for you... only buy the small single serve pack. BUT really the other suggestions are going to be better for you. ps I am also a serious chip craver - it gets BAD sometimes. You can and will make a great choice! Just…
  • I had an epiphany like this the other day... although I am quite sure I did not put it nearly as humorously! but I discovered that I am viewing food as fuel more often than anything else (friend, lover, comfort, etc) It is a great feeling! :drinker: Congratulations and keep your strength for when that old love…
