Thanks for answering! What supplement are you taking? My chiropractor just recommended one, and I just started. So far I am not noticing any difference, but it has only been three days. I would love to see your numbers. Sheri

My oldest is nearly nineteen, and my youngest will be one year old on Friday. I have nine children all together, and am 100 pounds heavier than when I got married 20 years ago. That is 11 pounds for every child...baby weight. Uggg. Feel free to add me. Sheri

Thanks for the ideas. I'll look into Lean Cuisine. Sheri

A bit of background. I am married, mom to nine children ages 18-1, full time student, take care of my FIL. I am spending way too much time grabbing fast food on my way to school, and not enough time at home cooking. I know if I had more time, I could cook more at home, but I don't. Sheri

Thanks for most of the responses. I am not looking at this as a quick fix diet, but as a new lifestyle for me. I had Gestational diabetes with my youngest son, and there is diabetes in my family. I have been trying to follow a low-fat, whole grain, moderation diet for the last five months. Not only have I found it…

277 lbs. Yuck...... Sheri
-
My calorie goal is set this high per Drs orders because I weigh 277 pounds, and am breastfeeding my 8 month old. I had been eating 1500-1600 calories, but baby was not happy at all with my milk supply, and he was concerned I was not eating enough calories. He wanted me to eat 2000, and I balked at that. Not all of my…

Yes, I had been using frozen veggies, because I am in college full time, and raising nine beautiful children, so very busy. I didn't realize that frozen veggies have sodium added, but was thinking they were more or less like fresh. I stopped using canned veggies, except for rare occasions. I am struggling to not eat fast…

Yes, I know my sodium was a little high yesterday. I had been eating between 1500-1600 calories a day, and my Dr said a minimum of 1800 because I am still nursing my 8 month old. And in less than two weeks, I have gained 7 pounds. Can that possibly be all water? This sucks. Sheri

Drivethru. By gritting my teeth, and trying to eat a healthy snack before getting in the car. Sheri

Anyone know anything about the FitBit?

YOu, my friend, are detoxing. Your body is wondering what the heck is going on, and you will likely feel worse before you feel better. Hang in there, drink TONS of water, eat healthy whole grains, fruits, and veggies, and rest. In a few days, your body will have cleansed out some of the bad chemicals, and will start to…

Ok, made breakfast burritos with turkey breakfast sausage, eggs, light cheese, salsa, and whole wheat tortillas. Going to make a frittata with bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, light cheese, and eggs. I'll let you all know what the kids think tomorrow! Sheri

Hmmm, hadn't thought about them getting hard. I do make oatmeal in the crockpot, but some of the kids don't like how creamy/sticky it gets. I am trying to eat more protein, and less flour based things at breakfast. Perhaps an egg casserole I can throw in the oven when I get up, and have ready when the kids are up, and…

Thanks for the encouragement, guys. My ds is eight months old now, and he is my ninth baby, so I know from experience I rarely lose weight while BFing. However, this is the first time I have tracked, stuck to a calorie goal, and am working with my Dr to get the weight off. Right now I have no physical problems requiring…

SOOO happy for you! Awesome! Sheri

Hi. I am a mom of nine ages 18, 16, 15, 13, 11, 9, 7, 4, and 8 months. I homeschooled them all till this year when out of need, I put them in school, and went back to college. Finding time to exercize is tough, feeding a family of 11 on a budget, but for good health is tough...heck...just being a Mom is tough! Add me if…

HI Lisa! Welcome back!!! I so completely agree that the mindset is different when you need to lose a larger amount. I am 42, 5'4", and my starting weight was 275. I want to be below 200 as an initial goal (Not since 1993 have I weighed below 200!), and a TGW of 150 would be awesome. I am a Mom to nine, with my oldest DD18,…

By waking up hungry I mean, shaking and lightheaded. I know that being grumbly is a good thing. I get up at 6am, after perhaps 5-6 hours of sleep. (yeah, I know I need more...) and I literally can't function till I eat something. How do I add calories to my tracker? Sheri

- what kind of build are you? (small, medium, large) - how much do you currently weigh and what size pants on average do you wear? - what is your goal weight and why? - how old are you (if you don't mind sharing) - and have you had any kids? (I know from experience that can affect your body! ;) ) I am large build 270 (just…
