I've been here since December 1st of 2014. I'm down about 35 pounds. I hope next year I am able to make more progress.

Wow, I was expecting these to be super cheesy, but I found myself saving some for future reference. Thank you for sharing.

I agree with the routine comments. It really is about routine for me. My husband also asks me every day if I worked out. He is always kind and supportive; it's just a way to keep me accountable. I have had some bad weeks, but in two weeks, it will be one year of my new lifestyle which includes getting up at 4:30 or 5:00 to…

I love milk! My day doesn't start unless I have some with breakfast, but I make sure to ration it. I have a half a cup every morning. I use creamer in my coffee.

You are looking great. It was inspirational to read your post, particularly since the scale has not moved much for me the last month and a half. It truly is a journey, not a sprint.

I'm sorry to read about your injury. Back injuries are terrible. I have a crushed disk and can completely relate to having a restricted exercise routine. Of course, do what your doctor recommends. I use an elliptical as it reduces impact on my back. Even working out on a treadmill can cause a flair in my back injury, so…

Is it possible that your "uncomfortable" size 16 clothes were stretched to an 18? So perhaps you really went from a size 18ish to a size 14? I have always heard the rule that 20 pounds = 1 pant size.

You look great! Congratulations on taking control of your health.

It's amazing that you lost so much weight so quickly. Congrats!

Thank you for the encouraging comments. My weight loss has slowed down the last few months, but it is always exciting to see the number on the scale go down. I always find encouragement looking at other success stories on this forum.

I met my husband at close to my highest weight (well over 200 lbs), then proceeded to gain another 40 pounds after we married. I now weigh less than he has ever seen me. Whenever I have ever asked him about my weight, he always said that he doesn't see weight when he looks at me, he just sees me. We met in our thirties, so…

I've been on synthroid for 19 years, currently a dose of 250 mcg. Synthroid has never helped me lose weight, but it has helped me feel like a normal human. I have always had some heart palpitations while on the medicine but nothing major. As of last December, my doctor added a new medicine that is targeted at the T3…

I'm pretty much hungry all the time. Although eating more protein has helped it to be more tolerable. Also, I always do a fasting workout since I workout right after I wake up in the morning. I cannot imagine eating then working out...I'm sure I would get sick.

I also do not like to cook. One easy and fast recipe I use is a tortilla pizza: 1 tortilla, tomato or hot sauce, cheese, and whatever other ingredients you like (e.g., veggies, chicken). I bake it in my toaster oven for about 5 min.

I have many reasons, but it was my latest illness that really got me going. In the process of running tests, the doctor told me I had early signs of arthritis in my hips! I don't want to become immobile, so it was time to exercise and lose weight.

You look amazing! Congrats on your success so far.

After a gain last week, I was down again this week. I'm at 2.23% lost.

I have to work out in the morning or it won't happen. I am also not a morning person, but working out is more important than my discomfort. I typically get up between 4:30 - 6:00 depending on my work schedule. I workout for an hour each morning, five days a week in my home. I generally work 10 to 12 hour days, so I'm beat…

I also have PCOS and a bad thyroid. I started low carb diet at the recommendation of my doctor and for the first time in 15 years of trying to lose weight, I'm actually seeing progress. Welcome to MFP!

Two egg omelet with 1/8 cup shredded cheddar cheese and 1 slice of bacon. In addition, 1 cup of whole milk.

You can really tell the difference. I bet getting up each day as a smaller you is thrilling. It looks like we started at a similar weight at time, so it is particularly encouraging for me to see your success. Thank you for sharing.
