I find the same problem when logging certain kinds of exercises (pole dance fitness, for example) which simply aren't listed in the database. On the non-health, non-fitness side, I am also thinking about making this the year I buy as few cheap Chinese goods as possible, and attempt instead to buy reused and recycled items (or repair what I have) as much as possible.

Stay between 145 and 150 lbs for the majority of the year. Become consistent in my strength training so as not to lose muscle tone. Improve my dancing muscles.

I have also heard that women have a harder time losing weight. Our bodies are designed to keep the weight on in case we become pregnant (you know how you are supposed to put on additional weight during a pregnancy). Since this isn't an issue for men, they are not geared to keep it on in the same way. I think you are right…
