Started C25K in May of 2011. Down 40lbs and now training for my first half marathon! I HATED running and now I LOVE it!

I agree, find a running store and get fitted! They will look at all aspects of your feet and how you run. Worth it!!

I'm sure there are tons of options out there. I personally use the Garmin FR60. I got the fitnesss bundle on amazon with the watch, footpod and heart rate monitor for $115. I love it!

Look into Paleo. Marks Daily Apple was suggested, great info. Low carb doesn't mean you have to eat junk. Take in your carbs from fruits and veggies and your protien from lean meats! Avoid processed foods!

There are tons of training programs out there! www.runnersworld.com is a great resource. I am training for a half using Runners World Smart Coach. Hal Higdon has a training program and I know people who have used that and liked it. I know there are others, but I don't know much about them. Most of the programs are based…

I carry "fuel" if I will be running 90+ minutes. I use Clif Shot Blocks and I take 1-2 every at a time and chase it with water. I usually alternate that with coconut water. I take one or the other about every 30 minutes or as needed.

Army wife! :) We've been through deployments, TDY's...the works! I do much better at losing weight when he's gone! ;) You can do it!!

How are you measuring, or are you measuring out your portions? How are you measuring your calories burned through exercise? Are you eating back your exercise calories? Are you drinking water?

You can also use them to grow fresh herbs! :)

Lots of great info here http://www.runnersworld.com/article/0,7120,s6-242-301--13917-0,00.html on fueling your runs. I use a Nike hydration belt that allows me to carry up to 4 bottles. http://www.amazon.com/Nike-Running-Hydration-Anthracite-Varsity/dp/B00187FOP0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1330239537&sr=8-2 I usually do 2…

I am don't drink alot of fluids in general, but I have made an effort to increase my water intake and weed out other junk laden drinks. I tend to drink more when I exercise and on the days I don't I just have to push myself to drink the amount I need. I definitely can tell a difference in my weight loss when I consume…

You can buy them at sports stores, online, walmart. You just have to be sure that the one you buy actually calculates calories burned. Some only tell you what your heart rate is. I have a garmin FR60, purchased from amazon. I use it for all of my workouts and it tells me how many calories I have burned as well as other…

I would suggest slowing your running down. Even if you think you are already slow, slow it down more and focus on your breathing! Make sure you are getting a full breath in and a full breath out. :)

Calorie remaining are what you have left for the day. Net calories are the total amount of calories you consumed. When you exercise it then will subtract what you burned through exercise from your calories consumed to get your total net calories. Hope that helps!

I started C25K in May of 2011. I am now training for a half marathon and I am currently up to 8miles! I was lazy and hated running. I've lost 40lbs and I now LOVE running! The programs is set for you to take it at your own pace. Go as slow as you need to when running and repeat days/weeks if necessary! You will be so glad…

I am also training for my first half! I started in mid December. I suggest finding a training schedule based on your previous races and current running schedule. I am using Smart Coach from Runners World. As far as race day, do what you always do before you run! Don't change your habits...do what is comfortable for you!…

Great job tracking! It seems like you are taking in alot of protein. I would definitely say add in some whole grains and more fruits/veggies. And increase your water intake. Yesterday you burned 702 cals but only drank 5 glasses of water. You should be drinking at least 8 on rest days and more on exercise days!! Good luck!…

This year will be our 13th Valentines Day together and I wouldn't have it any other way! :)

Personally WW was great for me at the beginning of my journey! I have lost a total of 40lbs and half of that was on WW. I started to find, however that using WW, I could still eat junk. Not that I don't eat junk now, just far less of it. With MFP I get the whole picture in black and white and it forces me to pay closer…
